Help wiring TPS on 1.6
For my build, i'll be running a JDM/EDM NB 1.6 intake manifold which will allow me to run the Skunk2 throttle body on my setup. I currently have a 2001 miata TPS but i'm not sure if that TPS is a variable unit since it is only a three wire sensor.
First off can someone confirm that the 2001 miata TPS is variable?
Now, assuming that the 2001 sensor is a variable sensor, that means I'll be running the Skunk2 throttle body for a 2001. How would I wire the 2001 TPS into my 1991 NA manual 1.6 wiring?
If the 2001 sensor is not variable, then I can simply get the sensor for a 1.8 NA miata and get the corresponding throttle body from Skunk2 for that setup. If that were the case, then how would I go about wiring up that sensor as I am sure that the NA 1.8 TPS is a four wire unit.
I'm hoping someone can shed some light on my situation.
Thanks
Alex
