0.1uF cap mod before using hires +550s?
Hi, I'm upgrading to 550cc rx7 injectors and Hi-res code as soon as it warms up. I am just trying to finalize what i need to do.
Im running MS1extra 029v right now on my 96 miata (in parallel)
I need to:
-change req fuel
-change PW for warmup, ASE, and w/e else
- add the 0.1uF cap somewhere??
-download firmware
-re-tune
Anything im missing?
Is the 0.1uF cap mod necessary before running hi-res? where is it installed? I saw a diagram on a thread, but i cant find it.

"The new "cap mod" turns this into a low pass filter that helps avoid misfires caused by a noisy CMP signal. Solder a length of wire to a 0.1 uF capacitor, and connect this capacitor-on-a-wire between JS8 and SG or a ground hole in the proto area."

Change fuel for cranking and accel. ASE and Warmup are a percentage, so you shouldn't need to alter these.

i forgot how much i love megasquirt.
Installed it back in my car today after using the stock ecu for a few months. I modded the board last week. Loaded up DIY's base map with all the necessary changes for the 550s... started it right up no problem, tuned idle and low load then hit autotune and went for a cruise!
