i just got a 99 knock sensor and going to use it for the new build.... i already installed the jumper in the board. for the install are you you guys wiring the knock sensor strait to the ms or a devise the translate the signal from the knock sensor to the ms. meaning does the ms read mhz signal or the sound signal as you would call it from the knock sensor or it need a translator to give it a analog sig...

You have to use the Knock Sense, or build your own circuit. You can use the NB knock sensor with the knocksense.

just buy the knocksense. its awesome, u can tune its sensitivity and it has a nice LED to let you know when it senses knock.

I should would love to find something to get a voltage proportional to knock level, since the knock sense is an "on/off" affair, and I want to have a much lower knock threshold at lower RPM. Did you find something out for this??
