inj deadtime 1.1 on stock na 1.8 ones. The map(brain's ms2 basemap for 1.8's) came with 1.2 I changed to 1.0 and then up to 1.1
I read somewhere where someone said 1.0 for stockies but iono it didnt idle above 12.5:1 well, the 1.1 is just a random guess but seems to be as good as 1.2
I will be running rx7-2020 550's soon though, I'll plop em in after slappin my turbo in. Also I will relocate the iat to the side closest to the throttle body when I put it in.
Right now is just familiarizing myself with tuning and such so I can really know what I'm doing when the turbo is in. After the car is turbo and everything is how I want it my goal is to build a really solid dd-able tune in about 3-4 months and perfect it in another 2 months of dding and not really have to mess with it again after that besides mechanical changes. doable?

If you can tolerate the reduction in resolution at higher rpm and map, then put a 3x3 to 4x4 area around your idle. Warmup the car and adjust the VE around idle until Gve is almost constant as the dot moves around. Make a gauge or something that allows you to see Gve. You won't be able to make all the cells the same thing but watch Gve and AFR. You want AFR to remain pretty constant around your idle. I say +/- .5 AFR max from target.

I sucked it up after a while and moved my temp sensor to the outlet of the IC.
Currently it's idling about 14.4-.7 without any electrical stuff, 14.2 with full electrical draw. Sometimes it has a couple small misses which I think is due to the spark map. I haven't even touched the spark map besides bringing it down about 4 points on everything when I was first trying to start. Going to tune that later today (or start at least!)

Well I ended up adjusting the spark map based on seat of the pants smoothness, kpa, and afr. The leanest afr and lowest map setting were at the same spark* and right around 17.5* gve. going to gve of about 14/15 yeilded like 29kpa, and 17.5-20* all were equal but I set it low as possible for the reasons stated above. Thanks again!

This is really helpful because being so new to this A TON of my questions have been answered and hours of my time spared So thanks again djp

EDIT: to expand on the timing at idle, it seemed to like about 17*, and it was pulling high 27's low 28's kpa. With my all 4 of my low pros on and heater full blast it was more like 33kpa. The stock computer does an amazing job with idle. I've decided that if I start running into idle issues down the road the first thing I will do is drop the timing back to about 14*. It did pretty well there too but messing with it, I ended up with it idling happily at 15.3 megasquirt and 14.8ish zeitronix.

Anyone have any ideas on how to recalibrate the wideband input? I did the afr table calibration and used zeitronix but from what I've been seeing everyone's ms seems to read about .5 leaner then actual. Not a huge deal because it looks to be off by same amount everyhwhere so I've just trained myself to see 15.2 as stoich, but if its easy to fix then I will. Also the custom option won't work because I'm using the zt-2's analog output.

Thought I'd throw these up here

V 0.15 0.31 0.46 0.62 0.78 0.93 1.09 1.24 1.4 1.56 1.71 1.87 2.02 2.18
AFR 9.7 9.9 10.1 10.3 10.5 10.7 11.0 11.4 11.7 12.1 12.4 12.8 13.2 13.7
V 2.34 2.5 2.65 2.80 2.96 3 3.12 3.27
AFR 14.2 14.7 15.6 16.9 18.5 18.8 19.9 21.2

They are gounded on the same bolt, the ms grounds on the bottom and WB on top, and I went through a few steps to insure as best grounds as possible. I have a car audio backround so anytime grounds and wiring is involved it is usually overdone lol.

actually in ms1 it sorta did the same thing but got better after changing the calculation it uses in megatune config? I think? It was on ms extra as a fix for zt-2 users but I couldn't find anything for the MS2. Its not a big deal though.
