Can someone confirm my shoppinglist?
Hi guys,
After a lot of reading I made a list of the parts I'll need. I want to run the MS2 as standalone ECU on my '90 Miata. At first I'll run it N/A, and later on I'll add the turbokit.
This is the list I made, is this correct?
1: MS2 kit - the most important piece.
2. the MODkit
3. the wiring bundle
4. IAT sensor kit to remove AFM
5. Relay control kit for the fans (my A/C is removed)
6. Idle valve controller
7. MSdroid bluetooth adapter for tuning
8. The Mazda 64 pin female connector. Where do I get this? Is there a partnumber or do I have to remove it from a broken ECU?
9. TPS sensor from BMW e30 or e36 automatic or E32. - Do I need this?
I can supply pictures of cats for motivation if needed.

DIY sells the 64 pin connectors for $8. Alternatively, you can get one from Digikey, Mouser, etc.

174518-7 TE Connectivity / AMP | Mouser
I had a MS2 for a few months. MS3 is much simpler to build and better than MS2 in every way.

There are two separate wire bundles. One is for the mainboard DB37 and one is for the ms3x DB37. The idle mod kit is unnecessary since the ms3x handles idle control. You will need a single 1k ohm resistor for the crank input pullup on the mainboard.
Vtps is not required, but it is strongly recommended.
As for the tuning cable, either serial or usb a to b will work (usb is faster).
