Default Spark Mod confusion

I was going to follow Kags1969's spark mods for the v3 board, but the new miata instructions on DIYautotune show a different routing of the jumper wires on both ends of the board, and the addition of two resistors. I didn't see any other mention of this new routing here on the forum...

Is the new DIYautotune routing scheme better? Has anyone tried it on their miata?

Thanks!

When I did my spark mods, I didn't include the 1K resistors and my spark has been running just fine every day since early Feb.

Yes but in the event of a short you have nothing protecting your cpu. I don't know if the DIY's works on the 90-93 cars. It didn't work on mine when I first started with my 91. Pretty much before anyone had done spark with a megasquirt on a miata.

Now I just pull the resitor and attach the 330ohm directly to the wire and put it in the top hole.

Mate, you are officially Number 2 on the planet to get the MS working for spark, but as far as the sharing of ideas and giving the rest of us the confidence to give it a go ourselves, then you're Number 1 by a mile!!!

So, if I understand correctly, I should remove resistors R26 & R29 and install the wires (as in kags1969's instructions) to the 'top' of where the each resistor was connected, but with 330ohm resistors in series?

Thanks. I'm looking forward to getting this running on spark

In series with the wire, yes.

Just make sure when everything is done
D14 -> H1
D16 -> G1
