Electronic Det-Cans - Group Buy...ish

I am waiting for Jeff to catch up with demand. Both my options are not nearly as nice as Jeff's.. One needs you to carry the whole house stereo casing to the car
The other does not filter out the noise from the ambient...
Using Jeff's setup would be the better way...
I thought about sharing possibilities, I do not intend to create competition... Heck you know I can't do it, cause I did not know how to figure out the cigarrette lighter/wall plug issue...
Sorry if that's the way it was interpreted... but I really like the way members step up for other respected members... Cheers

I just went on a short test drive with them installed, and it is very neat! Great job Jeff!
I did not hear any detonation from the ranges I tested.
I need to get better earphones to be able to hear the upper RPM's. Once above 4,500 or so, everything is too loud to hear clearly. It would be very helpful to not have to overpower the exhaust.
I am still rocking the stock tape deck, and they did not come with fancy futuristic inputs. I am thinking 'over the ear' earphones with noise cancellation would be beautiful. Bose is way out of the price range, but maybe a knockoff of this? Any suggestions on brands?

I recorded a short drive plugging it into a voice recorder.
The file saves a '.wma' and I do not know how to let you guys hear it. I tried putting it on youtube and also attaching it to this post, and neither worked. How do I do it?

I can not tell you how to broadcast your info to the world.
But to somewhat answer the post before that I will tell you what worked for me. I have a full & clear Artech 3'' exhaust so at hammer it is a bit in the upper decibel range. First I took a cheapo headset I had around for listening to transcriptions.
I am an avid shooter so of course I have appropriate muffs. Cut off the head band part of the cheapo headset & stuck the mini spkrs. in the muffs. Worked great! Sound attenuation was across the board so I could dial in or out as much as needed.
A good pair of muffs is $50-$75. Decent ones are $20.00.
Or borrow a pair if you do not routinely expose your EARS to above 90 decibels. The cheapo head set was/is maybe $5.00.
Hope this helps.

How big is it? You can upload it to http://www.megafileupload.com/ if it's under 200mb.
Give this a shot: http://www.megafileupload.com/en/fil...20130-WMA.html
I do a decent second and third gear pull starting at 4:40. Shifted probably around 6k rpm.
I should just buy a pair, but I do not think my wife would enjoy me wearing these when I get home.
