Cooling fan engagement temp
I've got a question regarding the cooling fan on my car I was hoping someone could answer. The car is a '90 with a 90-93 MSPNP and a '95 motor. As I understand it the '90-93 fans were controlled by a thermoswitch and the '94+ fans were controlled by the ECU.
So... I guess the question is, what the hell is controlling my fan and is there anyway to change the temperature that it comes on? It currently comes on at 180 degrees, is that normal? With the temperatures most people are running their cars (190-200, from what I've seen), the fan would be running constantly which seems unnecessary.
Is there a way to change the engaugement temperature in megasquirt? I haven't been able to find it.

For temperatures you simply enter the degrees F +40, so in the above example Output 2 will turn on when the coolant temp is above 200 F (240 - 40F). The output will stay on until the coolant goes below 195F as it has a hysterisis of 5 (5F) There is no upper limit set so it wont turn off when above the setpoint.

I was wondering about that. My Adaptronic was coming on at 85C. I changed it to 93C last week. Looks like I could go to 97C (206.6). Stock thermostat is 192*F and aftermarket option is 180*F. Seemed silly to have the fan come on before the thermostat opened. Hysterisis of 5*F is standard/normal? Mine is more like 25*.
I have stock water routing and big Koyo.
