Hmmm, is there a leak in the front or rear main?

I turned my car up to 14psi. And there wass some sepage around the valve cover and around the motor. LOL
I turned it back down to 10. There were no leaks at 10psi.LOL

Same here, 'cept I drive 15K, drain, refill. Whether it needs it or not.

Rotella is a detergent oil. If you were burning oil and a detergent oil 'fixed' it, then likely the rotella cleaned out the oil drain areas around the oil control ring on the pistons. Rotella is known to do this in the diesel world. When those areas get dirty, oil can't drain away fast enough, and too much accumulates, flooding the oil control ring. Results in oil getting past that ring and then being burned. Most diesel's that burn say a quart every clock will burn nothing for the first couple clocks after changing it with fresh Rotella.

Sounds like you were pressurizing the crankcase, do you have a good PCV valve?

Essentially all multi-viscosity oil is detergent oil, unless Hustler was specifically sourcing non-detergent oil sometimes used by antique motor nuts.

Last monday I called BEGi and talked to Steph about buying an S kit. After talking with her I decided to go back into negotiations with the wife about a budget expansion and after seeing the shots of this engine bay, I know I made the right decision and wouldn't be happy with the S, even just to get the car under boost as a starting point

Man it's rough seeing shots of engines like yours and knowing that the only thing between you and greatness is a wife!

My car will go 3 weeks, not burn a drop, and then I'll go on a drive and beat on it hard and it will run through half a quart in a day. It also burns about a quart at every track day. I check it every 2nd or 3rd fillup.

So did you decide on what you're going to do?

Dude get the S and sneak in an intercooler over the winter.

Since this has turned into an oil burning thread I noticed my pressure was running low. Was 2 quarts down! Aaargh. This car had never lost oil the 2 years I had it or the 10K since boosted. I'm hoping it was a fluke. No drips in the driveway, no visible smoke at start up. Black smoke under boost but that's gas. It's christmas so maybe it was the oil fairy stealing it.

Black smoke is bad. Too much fuel can corrupt the oil.

I suposed to have the 323 pcv, but I got it from the worst Oreilys in the nation. They might have screwed up.

But if Rotella doesn't dissappear, that is what I would use. Is that synthetic oil?
