Hey guys, don't be dumb! (Bonus sodomy chat inside)
My exhaust issues? Not the downpipe gasket. Wasted an hour of sanding and $5 on that stove cement **** for nothing.
What was it? Some idiot forgot to put the water tube bracket on the OUTSIDE of the manifold. Yep, the top of the bracket was sitting in between the manifold and block, preventing it from sealing. Oh yeah, that idiot was me.
Feel free to use this thread to tell me how stupid I am and how I should just go hang myself because I'll never make anything out of my life. Or post stupid **** you've done.

I always remembered just from photographic memory that it goes on the outside.
That's good to hear though man! I remember my vote was for DP gasket seeing I had like 3 fail on me.
However long it took, I sure bet it was worth it! A exhaust leaks can ruin any car no matter how great they look.

ummm, wait a second, I did the same exact thing less than 2 months ago..
Oh, yea, and I had 2 other people telling me to check the whole system and I kept insisting that I did...
Oh yea and I had to remove my turbo/dp to get to it which is a BITCH...
So yea I guess it happens, but glad to hear everythings nicey nicey again!

Fixed thread title. I was lucky I didn't have to pull off the manifold completely, the bracket was just resting on the stud, not slid over it, so I just had to loosen it up and slide it on.
