Thoughts? I should probably get one before they go to court.

If this is true, now my only concern is that this suit is too stylish:
Seriously, this changes the game. What is the lightest, most brethable silver suit I can buy under $1k?

That document covers 3.2A* so if there is no requirement in there for 1,3,5 then there is no requirement for it. Not sure about club requirements, I only know chumpcar which just needs the suit to remain clean. I'd imagine they stole that from the GCR or CCR.
e:
NASA:
15.17.1 Driving Suits
A driver is required to wear a suit that covers his or her entire body except for hands,
feet, and head. Driving suits shall be one piece carrying an SFI 3.2A/1* rating or higher
(3.2A/5, 3.2A/10, 3.2A/15, or 3.2A/20) or FIA 8856-2000, FIA NORME 1986/1986. *The
driving suit requirement for vehicles using any type of diesel or diesel mixture is 3.2A/5,
or higher, effective 01/01/2011.
SCCA:
1. Driving suits that effectively cover the body from the neck
to the ankles and wrists. One piece suits are highly recommended.
All suits shall bear an SFI 3.2A/1 or higher certification
label or FIA 1986 Standard or FIA Standard or 8856-2000
homologation label. Underwear of fire resistant material shall
be used, but is optional with suits carrying an FIA Standard
1986 Standard or FIA Standard 8856-2000 label or SFI 3-2A/5
or higher (e.g., /10, /15, /20) certification label.

I would recommend a 2011 A* GP-Tech suit:

That's the suit I have and I'm very pleased with it, minus the fact that it's not custom tailored to me. I have a red one, they offer a silver but it's a very light shade of silver.

Any thoughts on this "package"?
I'm still toying with the idea of a 986 shirt. I will get 2 pair of socks. Does anyone know if that bag will fit in a Miata passenger seat? Oh the compromised life of owning Miatas.

How do those cool-shirts size out? I am extremely pumped...5'11", 199.5lb and not really fat. I think I'm getting a 52 suit but will still need help getting out of the shoulders.

Don't you ------- dare spend $200 ------- dollars on a ------- duffel bag. You're wearing the damn suit all weekend, and the rest of the time it's hung up in your closet. Buy a $5 Rubbermaid or Wal-Mart bag for ------- christs ------- sake.
