Did the pro's have any previous experience at that track? I know most of the trackhq guys have.

There is definitely some great driving going on, but it's kind of sad that this is posted on every forum bragging about the results. What does this have to do with Miata's again?

Yes.

Why is it sad? It has nothing to do with Miatas, except those who drive them. It's not a Miata thing, it's a TrackHQ thing.

yes they did. that's the track they use to test all the cars!
as a matter of fact, 1 of the pro's was the owner of the track, and that was his z06 they used at the end! in his own car on his personal track! ouch...

The pros are obviously sand-bagging.

it is the other way around. Pro's have previous experience at that track (one is owner of the track, designed by him, in his Corvette. the other is the owner/chief instructor of a motorcycle racing school based at Chuckawalla, rest are Magazine's test track drivers). most Trackhq'ers don't: only 2 have driven Chuckawalla one full day beforehand. 5-6 have driven about an hour the day before. 2-3 have never driven, but was taken out as a passenger just prior.

of 11 Trackhq drivers, 5 currently tracks a Miata.

Of those five, did all of them drive non-boosted for a considerable time? Having to learn how to wring every ounce of speed out of a low power car? Then moving up to higher HP cars that will hinder driver development on a newer driver? Is this the perfect example of why the Miata is such a great learning platform? Just wondering.

My sentence structure seems off. Oh well, I think you get the point.
