Can Megasquirt be built for a 99? I have searched and haven't really turned up any good info, nor anyone really using it from 99-00. If its possible could you point me to those threads.

Hi , I'm about to order my first MS, and I have couples of questions and I did'nt want to start a new tread 'cause I know I would not be the first to do this and it would have pissed you off :P XD

First it's gonna be for a 1990 B6-T

here are the question:

I need a
-Megasquirt
-Wideband Controller with Sensor
-GM Open Element IAT Sensor
-GM Closed Element CLT / IAT sensor

what else do I need to order if I don't want to order again in 1 or 2 months :P

Plus, I would like to know what are the difference between some products such as:

MS-1 PCB2.2
and
MS-1 PCB3.0

GM Open Element IAT Sensor with Pigtail
and
GM Open Element IAT Sensor with Connector

GM Closed Element CLT / IAT Sensor with Pigtail
and
GM Closed Element CLT / IAT Sensor with Connector

Thanks for your further information

you want at least the v3.0 board.

you want the open element sensor and only need one AIT sensor, you'll use the OEM coolant sensor for your coolant sensor.

I like ordering the kit with the AIT bung included as well: MegaSquirtPNP and DIYPNP IAT Sensor Kit - Steel Bung DIYAutoTune.com

If standalone, you'll want to order the idle control mod-kit: http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/p...t39-p-134.html

if you want to save time when doing a harness you can use the pre-made db37 pigtail: http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/m...ess-p-114.html or buy the 24" wiring bundle and make it yourself: http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/m...ong-p-102.html (the MS kit comes with the db37 connector and hood)

then you'll just need to figure out building a harness.

Just use the oem one. We typically use the GM open element sensor for 1. fast response 2. OEM closed-element AIT is within AFM/MAF which we remove.

Perfect,

so let's say :
-MS-1 PCB3.0
-Wideband Controller with Sensor
-PCBv3 and v2.2 -- Pullup Resistors 'ModKit'
-18" MegaSquirt Pigtail Harness
-PCBv3 -- PWM IAC Valve Control (TIP120) 'Mod-Kit' -> (going standalone)
-MSPNP and DIYPNP IAT Sensor Kit - Steel Bung

Am I right?

that will get you 95% of the way, then you just need to figure out wiring it into the factory wiring.

Looks good. I'm assuming you already own a DB9 cable. I would really recomend a JimStim, jumper wires, and power supply too.

If what you need for ms1 is:
-MS-1 PCB3.0
-Wideband Controller with Sensor
-PCBv3 and v2.2 -- Pullup Resistors 'ModKit'
-18" MegaSquirt Pigtail Harness
-PCBv3 -- PWM IAC Valve Control (TIP120) 'Mod-Kit' -> (going standalone)
-MSPNP and DIYPNP IAT Sensor Kit - Steel Bung

What does I need to go MS-2...?

Exactly the same list, only change the 1 to a 2 in the first line.
