Hiss of air when removing inner shifter boot
Gents,
I'm doing a shifter rebuild on an early NB six-speed. When I loosened the first bolt on the inner boot, I heard a hiss of air that lasted a couple of seconds. The vent (I assume it's the vent at the top of the trans in front of the shifter turret) cover is clean and jiggles. I also assume it's clogged. Any suggestions short of taking out the transmission would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
