Default torsen vs open case

I'm building a locost 7 style car using mx5 running gear. I have a 7 inch open diff which is going to need a bit of modifying on the mounts to fit into the chassis. And I'll also be shortening the propshaft. If I want to replace it later with a torsen diff will I be able to retain the back half of the casing with the modified mounts from the open diff.

Yup, casing are all the same. Its real easy to pull the opne diff out and put in whatever lsd you want. As long as you dont change the final drive its a piece of cake.
