Default Hankook RS-3

You gotta be ******* kidding me?! A tire with flames in the tread design?! I'll leave these for the *******s....

I'm for sure getting the Kuhmo XS this year.

Welcome To Hankook Tire

The Ventus R-S3 Z222 also features a unique “flame” design which is molded into the tread that will be aesthetically pleasing to consumers looking to show off their vehicle’s “hot” new shoes.

Seriously. These could end up being the best street comp tire ever, and I'll refuse to buy them, just because of the flames.

the flames will NOT be orange. they will be molded into the tread only about 1-2/32" deep and should wear off very quickly.

That's hugely disappointing.

Was planning on getting these. But seriously? flames? On the tread?

Will the RS2 continue to be available?

If not, maybe I should order a spare set of RS2's for when the azenis wear out.

A long burnout will get the flames out, heat-cycle the tires, AND shave them for better performance.

i know the flames are up for debate.......but i have been told that the compound is excellent. making it far superior to the RS2 in terms of grip.

Hopefully TireRack and others will do some tests comparing the new kuhmo and hankook before I buy tires.

Wow. Thats quite gay. I agree that a long burnout would fix all issues though.

Repeat. The flames will NOT be orange.

I'm really hoping for a car mag comparison test of all the hot new tires. RS3, Esxta XS, NT05, Star Spec, R1R, RE-01r, 595rsR, etc.

I just hope more of them become available in 225/45/15 or 225/50/15 for us.

Actually a 245/35-15 would be sweet.
