My daily driver. 15x9, 225/45 RS2's. Flex 10/6 at about 12.2/12.35". Lotsa camber, slightly rolled fenders. 22mm NB front bar. Stock JDM 1.6 RB 4/1, DIY center exit 2.25" with ti mufflitude, MS PnP no AFM. Otherwise stock. I rattle canned the caps black wrinkle. no, the caps are not production :)

I really like the way the car looks, steers and handles with the fatties. Weather is nice. Life is good.

So now that I see the 225/45's fit on these rims, how much are they stretched in doing so and how do I get my tire guy to mount them for me? I had you switch my order back to the 8" because the local discount tire told me they wouldn't mount them on a 9" rim.

I'm going to call every damn tire place in the area on Monday. Once I find a place I will be changing my order again.

My guy had no problem mounting them, he didn't make it seem like it was an issue at all? BTW, pics tomorrow after I roll the fenders. Also, Emilio, I didn't get the stickers for the center caps.

Try a local BMW dealership. They run wide wheel/tire combos and give a shit about their wheels.

Yeah, it all depends on how much of the corporate legal department Kool-Aid the counter guys drink. I've worked with techs who refused to mount anything other than OE size wheels and tires. :giggle:

The 225 looks fantastic on that wheel too, doesn't look like much of a stretch at all!

when will you have lugs in? My 6UL's are tired of sitting in the garage.

Dude, you haven't kept the wheels off the car because you didn't have matching lug nuts did you? Just use plain lugs or something for now.

I'll order up another batch of lugs to be here around March.

I've had two different shops mount 225s on 15x9s for me now. Neither had any trouble at all.

my stock lugs will fit, but I can't get the 21mm socket inside the wheel...so I put the stockers on and drove to Austin, lol. Its cool though, one less thing for people to steal.

I think this thread convinced me to buy 15x9's for the track just in case nitto or toyo decide to make a 245 in the future.

Ah, I see. Thin wall socket will do it. Timing the lugs to arrive just before the next batch of wheels in April.

Buy some cheapy spline drive lugs if you can find them. I've got
Gorilla brand and have had no problems with them. They aren't some sexy or exotic 3.27 gram light-weight alloy lugs but they work fine. Once you get the paint worked off the ball area on the rim you shouldn't have any problems with them coming loose.

Please tell me you're using conical lugs and not ball end lugs. IIRC the gorilla lugs are conical but they might have different model types.

Okay... so my eyes are fried from searching... and I am short on time to boot, (airport wi-fi and low battery)

Can you all help point me in the right direction? I'm going to order a set of the 15X9s in January and am haivng a hell of a time trying to figure out 2 things:

1: how do i roll my fenders? Has anyone done a writeup here for this? As i recall this was the use of a baseball bat and some scary pressure between the tire and fender?

2: I'm running FM springs and KYB AGX shocks... can I run the 245s without rubbing given the FM springs...or do I need to base all of this on stock springs / rideheight?

Anyhow, maybe those of you with the experience of mounting these can share your experience. It looks to me that there are 2 different schools... 90% of you all are running 275s with rolled fenders on NBs... the other school is stretched tires... I'm so confused :vash: What's the right fit for stock fenders and FM springs? Arghh... I feel like Charlie Brown!!!!
