I think I'm fairly close to running out of things to purchase from you...

Xidas - check
Boxmount brakes - check
Bronze bushings - check
End links - check x 2 cars
Sway bars - check
Brake lines - check x 2 cars
Valve stems - check

I gotta say though, this new website is ... terrible. I was going to see if you still sold valve stems and ... wow. Really unintuitive stuff. Someone took a generic "sell car stuff" website and did a terrible job customizing it for your particular niche. Navigation and filtering are terrible, and then there are simply mistakes like ...

Thanks for the feedback. We've all spent so many hours staring at this darn website that it's easy to gloss over little stuff like that, so we really appreciate the fresh set of eyes to point out these goofy issues.

Please, if anyone else notices website bugs, shoot us an email with what you've found so we can fix it.

The new site has far more tools available, but like any tool with greater versatility, it's also easier to get the settings wrong. It's functioning and all the stuff is there, but the search and filtering do definitely need work. Perfect for some items now, for other items they can be hard to find for sure.

As it turns out, the Porsche 911 thing is not a mistake! Since the valve caps fit pretty much everything, all vehicles are selected. The site just chose to show Porsche 911.

Now, if you have a 911, and you confirm they DON'T fit... let me know

Why does your website even know about Porsches? I mean, if you want to be thorough, you may as well also allow me to filter for products that will fit my friend's Iso Rivolta...

Sorry, I hope I don't come across as picking on anyone's hard work ... I'm just lazy, old, and curmudgeonly. I have high expectations of software. It works well for my occupation, but doesn't necessarily win me too many friends

We sell steering spacers for Porsche, Audi, VW, BMW, Fiat, Nissan, etc. We are also working on wheels, some of which will fit lots of those other cars. So they're loaded on the site.

I don't blame you for thinking it's weird to see Porsche 911 for valve caps haha. We're very much seen as a Miata-specific vendor. Hope to expand that.

Anyway, y'all bookmark that sale page and check it out on Tuesday morning, ya hear?

FYI, I searched for NB parts and nothing works with Filter by Category. It simply lists all Miata items on my laptop. I had to use the search bar to find items, have used it a few times as I'm building an engine, about to order parts and all my bookmarks were broken with the update. Please fix Filter By Category ASAP. I'll be placing a large order on November 1st on my break at work. :-)

Yikes. Thanks for the heads up. In terms of the sale it'll be easy to find the products because there will be links from the Orange November Sale page, but yeah the filters are definitely not working. Will get our developers on that ASAP.

The bookmarks, on the other hand, are dead and will remain dead. They just lead to the home page. But the search function at the top of the page works *really* well. Just start typing and then wait a couple seconds, don't hit enter. It will drop down with the best results and that works really well.

I'm with TBB - highly un-intuitive, to the point that I gave up. I do not want to put every last thing I might be interested in into a search bar. Make it too hard and business is going to get pretty slow, at least for those who may be browsing.

Can we have the old site back if we ask nicely?

Clearly our purpose isn't to make it difficult to buy things from us. And no, the old site coming back is not an option.

Definitely open to feedback. We know there's a bit of a learning curve to a new site. We are working on it. Happy to take orders over the phone during this time as well.

The point of referencing the old site was it was easy to navigate. That was the gist of my post, feedback to which for yours and my sakes I hope you are open ...

If it needs a learning curve for the user, it hasn't been done right.

Navigation needs a lot of attention. I tried again on my phone using the mobile site. The expand and contract arrows for categories are broken. They flip up/down but don't show/hide items or sub-categories. I switched to desktop mode and it's worse, also no search bar that I can find so I'm back on my laptop.

Your instruction to type something into the search bar and "don't hit enter" is unintuitive. Typically, one either hits enter or clicks the search button after typing. If you wait many seconds (feels like stone age speed in today's world) items pop up which can then be selected. If you're lucky after typing enter, a category page loads for you to search for what you searched for. If you type "clutch disc" you see all clutch related items. Other test searches (head studs) showed unrelated items after hitting enter.

You are definitely losing potential sales. Those of us that know about the quality of parts, the great support/service, and the low prices will push through or wait and return but this website should not have gone live in this condition.

I dunno, it’s one of 3 really typical search bar types. Seems to work great, nice work SM crew. The rest of Y’all seem incredibly picky. And seem to be ignoring Ed’s request for the whole “email me” thing.

Sub’d for sales.

Thanks Josh.

Search still a little weird, the search bar workaround I noted above still works. I don't mean to tell you "you're doing it wrong" @Jesse99James I'm just trying to help in the interim til it's working properly.

That said, filters should be working now.

Orange November sale goes live 9 AM PST Tomorrow!

I get it. I too often have a bad day and come across a bit aggressive/terse in my tone which I don't mean to do. I am checking the website Orange page that says to check back and don't see anything. Hmm, 11:06 Central Time should be 9:06 PT, right? Oh well, gotta get back to work.

Website decided to crash right as we were making the page live. Sale prices are already active but the page that lists all the sale products isn't live yet because we can't access it. Pretty neat website feature.

Just Divi in Wordpress things. You're gonna need to upgrade that hosting account. Like a bunch. I'm trying to remember what you can do to make that shitpile faster but I ran away from Divi and Wordpress a year ago.

If you remember, let us know. But at this rate I don't think we'll be on this platform much longer.
