if the adaptronic trim works how I think it works, it is wise for it to always pull just a little bit of fuel from your baseline. especially in boost. that way you're always starting from slightly richer and safer than you need.

whereas if you tune the map to the hairy edge and get a tank of bad gas or something, you wont have any safety margin.

just a thought.

Yeah good idea. If I understand what you are getting at, I can remark the tuned cells as untuned, then decrease the master trim by say 5-10% (richen) then do some more autotuning. Rinse, repeat as necessary. That will keep the AFRs on the rich side which is where they are now actually, except for cruise. It means more tuning iterations, but it is a conservative approach.

Another way would be to rescale the table by less than the master trim. For example, raise the master trim by 40%, but only decrease the injector pulses by 35%.
