Running a little bit too much dwell isn't a bad thing. I was a little surprised about how it didn't have a dwell vs voltage map, but to tell you the truth, just set it for a little higher then what your average voltage accounts for and be done with it. The toyota cops were being over driven by twice their spec so that was a problem. But 5 percent too much isn't going to hurt anything.

still not sure what to do about the lc1... if i cant figure out whats going on, i might just get a aem uego... what do u guys think about this. the basic uego with the gauge also has serial and will work with the settings in the adaptronic right?
anyone has recommendations for were to get the uego?

No, as I knew I was going bigger on injectors right away and it would be kind of pointless. As soon as I retune with the 600's that I just installed and bump boost to 10 I will be playing with it. EBC should be at home by now. I'm home tomorrow.

ebay has then for 230 shipped I believe. I'm having some wiring problems with my uego right now though, so I dont think you'll have any better luck with it.

Serper3 04-09-2009 12:34 AM

from what i have read in the manual i think mine might be ok actually. i am going to hook my laptop to it to see whats actually going on..

Didn't you tell me you had the LC-1 installed without having a it powered up? I thought I had read that unpowered oxygen sensors are damaged if they are not powered up but exposed to exhaust gases?

Serper3 04-09-2009 12:37 AM

no... i knew that having the sensor in their will mess it up if its not powered.. the sensor always had power everytime..
from the lc1 manual:
1. Blinking steady about 2 times/second: Warming up
2. Blinking steady at about 4 times/second: Heater calibration
so the light IS supposed to blink when it warms up. it recalibrates when the led is off...

TravisR 04-09-2009 03:11 PM

Mine normally blinks for about 15 seconds maybe when It just first starts up. It then stops and stays solid red. The meter reads fine. Sorry I misunderstood how you had it hooked up.

Yeah that is the normal warmup routine. Mine does the same thing. In fact you can configure it to output a particular fixed voltage while this is going on.

Serper3 04-09-2009 04:08 PM

Cool. I will recalilbrate, hook it up to my laptop and all should be good. :)

Another question: when u hook up the lc1 to the adaptronic serially, do u need the terminator plug plugged in to the other connection port?

TravisR 04-09-2009 04:13 PM

Seems like I did, but I can't exactly remember. Its gotta be in the manual somewhere.

Guess we will know the truth in a week or so when I get my LC1 back from warranty. its been unpowered for like 4 days now.

I believe its all bullshit.

Yep, I believe that is how you HAVE to do it for the serial interface to work; That is how I did it. It was literally plug in, configure the Adaptronic, and play.

Sweet! Sounds excellent. I love when things just work!
