how to update ecu firmware?
#6
Hey Pusher,
Goto the update firmware screen, and then turn the key to off the position and back on again. It should now show a serial number and say its ready. Select the file you download from www.adaptronic.com.au/downloads to update the firmware to V9. Then, select program. After it programs select verify. After that click reset ECU.
It should be ready to go from there. Save your map before hand, I can imagine it would probably make a mess of whatever you have currently loaded.

There are a lot of little things that were added like they staggered the turning on of the A/C compressor and the fan compressor. If you are coming from a really early version it could add alot. The download page at adaptronic tells you what each firmware did. That should tell you what new options you have available to you.
Outside of that there isn't anything specific that you need to do. Your current map should work fine, but it needs to be reloaded onto the ECU because firmware upgrades can corrupt data.
