PWM output bench testing

PWM output bench testing
I have a quick question. Is it possible to get one of the PWM outputs to fire on the bench top, just feeding power to the Adaptronic? For example, can I just feed it power, and change the PWM output for a set duty cycle at 0 RPM? I want to use it to test trigger a solenoid, changing PWM frequency and duty cycle, but do not want to have to build a stimulator circuit to simulate the engine sensor input triggers.

Nick at the Adaptronic forum (forum admin and adaptronic employee judging by his e-mail address) thinks that it might work. Anyone else try this, or have thoughts? Travis?

Yep I already have two of those switches from the last setup. I'll probably set one of them to turn the pump on at something like 3-5 psi, then start activating the PWM at some TBD value above that.

Sorry I've been snowed under for a couple days. The easiest way would be to power the adaptronic and switch the PWM to external. Get yourself a semi welldefined potentiometer hook it upto the external input and you can set the upper and lower limits in the field under a PWM input. So if you set the top value at 5, the until will produce 100% dutycycle at 5 volts which is linear in percent dutycycle all the way to zero. Its a little indirect, but the problem is the output has to be based on some variable. You can't just tell something turn on without using another variable, and I think thats the easiest way to get at it.
