Look what I'm doing....wrong? If I set Aux 1 to 'None' then my idle sits at about 2k rpm and bounces. If I set it to how you see, it is about 1040rpm and solid (EGR port leak). My board jumpers are on the 'Factory ECU' pins.

What is going on here and why is it working for me? I might have been using closed loop idle this entire time, what a fucking n00b!

Either way, this has been working for me and I don't have any major issues with electrical loads, power steering or AC (when I still had AC and PS).

Well ladies i posted few issues on the adaptronic forum and Andy ended up finding a problem with the wiring harness. It appears that the air temp and the coolant temp outputs from the adaptronic board to the stock ecu are mixed on the NB8A harnesses. In other words when you set it up to read cold/hot the stock ecu gets the wrong signal so it sees air temp change however it does not get a coolant temp signal. Andy says to just flip the 2 wires. Before you start taring the harness apart, read this, take a small watch screw driver, open up the little slot at the bottom of the connector. It will come up a tiny bit, not all the way off. Then look inside the connector from the front (opposite of the wires). The important part is you need to lift up the plastic thing, this isnt like the computer connectors where you have to press down to pull the connector. There is a tiny plastic piece inside the holes that you have to lift up and then pull out the pin out of the back of the connector.

Thanks for digging around and finding the issue. Let us know how it works out.

Will do, i'll be starting from scratch this weekend. I'll document everything i can and make a writeup on installing adaptronic standalone on 99-00.

Well i installed the ecu again few hours ago. Guess what..the change i made to the harness works. Also the car starts like stock with the correct injector times and does not die anywhere. I'll be doing a detailed writeup probably sometime tomorrow on how to install the unit on a 99-00 and how to change the screwed up harness as well as posting a basic map for the stock nb injectors..

Awesome, looking forward to fixing my harness too. I wonder why it took this long for Andy @ Adaptronic to figure this out? It's been what about 2 years now since they released the Adaptronic? Not bashing anyone, just wished this was done earlier. I'll wait for your writeup and do mine too! Thanks!

They never bothered to look at the board and look for issues with it.

What color is your adaptronic ECU? Also do you have the 420 or the 440?

I have the red 420

K working on the writeup now. I wont be able to take pics of the connections at the TPS as i'll have to pull off tape however if its absolutely necessary i'll do that.

Good to hear. I just looked at my pnp harness and there are no jumpers - must be an early one.

Can you post up your stock injector dead times? Thnx.
