Default Aem UEGO 30-4110 help

Hello everyone. I am new to this site and am prepping to boost. I have mounted my MSPNP2 on my 97 1.8. Now I am planning on installing my UEGO while vehicle is NA. My question is am I to run the white wire or the blue wire and splice to the existing O2 sensor plug. I plan on getting power and ground from the cigarette lighter. Any help would be greaty appreciated.

sidenote the car is going to stay NA for at least a month or two just want to get everything else ready prior to turbo

Read your instructions. White is 0-5v output, blue is serial output. You'll want the white wire for the ECU. Don't connect it until the MS is connected.

Thank you Curly. I have megasquirt installed but have not started or installed base map yet. Do I need to complete this step first prior to installing the wideband?

Ok so I got the old O2 sensor out ( what a pain in the a** ) and got the new O2 sensor installed. Ran wiring through firewall. Question is what wire do I connect the white wire from the harness to? The original O2 connector has 4 wires, 2 black a white and a blue.
Question 2 is the cigarette lighter an ok source for power And ground or should I run a length and ground to the back of the head?

Follow the wiring from the old O2 sensor to where it plugs in behind the coil pack. Chop the connector off the old O2 sensor, leave a few inches of wire. You'll need to solder a new piece of wire to the white wire, run that into the engine bay, and solder that to your chopped off bit. Plug that connector back in, and the ECU will see the wideband signal coming in where it expects to.

This video is for an Innovate, but it will show you where I'm talking about.

Romba thank you for the vid however it still poses the same question. That vid was for a 1.6 where the O2 connector is a single wire. My 1.8 has 4 wires as I'm not sure which one to connect the white 5v wire to.

Yes the Blue. I just did this last night with my AEM AFR gauge 30-4110. My Tuner Studio AFR gauge is not reading the sensor.

I can't believe getting clear info on how to connect the sensor to TS is so complicated. This topic should be stuck to the top of the sub forum
