Wing without trunk lid

Wing without trunk lid
Hello
I want to add a wing for trackdays, but I can't drill my trunk lid, it's too painfull for me!
from an aero stand point, is it bad to run a big wing mounted to the trunk floor, without trunk lid?
Or I have some spare aluminium sheet I could use to make a trunk lid if this is recommended.
My car is an NC with hard top, looking at the picture I belive trunk lid doesn't really matter, please let me know if I'm wrong :
Cheers

Why not a wing that mounts to the chassis behind the rear bumper? You can remove the bumper for track days and install the wing or cut slots in the bumper cover to allow the wing brackets to fit through.

Its a 2.5l turbo I'm also planing to install a gs6 37bz so I dont blow an other gearbox.
But the exterior is totaly stock and I would like to keep it like that for a couple of reasons (on the street)
I have a vented hood for the track and I plan to make a removable splitter also
I can get an other trunk lid but this is an extra part to buy, carry, install, store...
I have little knowledge about aero and the picture I posted initialy makes me think that a trunk lid is not that important. Please let me know if Im wrong.
Also having the wing attached on something more stoud than a lid could me better?!
Cheers

Fairly likely that removing the trunk would have negative aero effects IMO. Assuming that the air stays attached past the rear window (which is a decently safe assumption on a modern vehicle!) then removing the trunk would likely just increase drag and potentially also negatively affect the wing above it. Chassis mount wing and removing the bumper for track days could be a decent solution in your case. You could also just remove the trunk lid if you really want too.
