Another benefit I see is the potential to distribute fuel evenly among all 4, fixing the (though it is debated whether it is actually an issue) problem of possibly not getting the same ease of flow to #4 as to 1 and 2. If this comes in at a competetive price with the duel feeds/larger bore rails out there currently, I'll probably get one for that reason and the possibility of keeping fuel temp lower as well.. looking forward to data on flow.

it going to be utilized on their new 1.6L SC kit....

I should have some info and prices posted in a few days. The fuel delivery was even across the injectors.

Pushlock fittings, rated to 250psi, and specifically for use without hose clamps.

Really? Those look like regular hose barbs to me, I looked back in the thread and the initial pictures showed hose clamps installed. I'd use hose clamps, but I'm paranoid that way.

Stephanie Turner 07-03-2009 02:58 PM

You have good eyes! It is just a mock up, the real version features 9 hose clamps. :)

Other than the extra room, there is no major benifit to this vs. other aftermarket fuel rails that change the location of the FPR. You might gain SOME stability by having a large accumulator, but this all seems so neglagable in the scheme of things.

I work every day designing pressure relief valves, flow controls, chek valves ect... and test setups for them... Our parts are utilized in almost every Formula 1 motor out there for \oiling, cooling, and fuel. This is formula 1, where every milisecond of the race is datalogged to see if your fuel pressure is too high or your flow is too large and you are cheating... For the street POINTLESS.

I thought about throwing my OEM fuel rail on a test stand and flowing it, then doing a DIY dual feed and compairing, but then i got lazy.

Cool product, but I could never see a use for it.

We had to do something to make room for a supercharger mount. So it serves it's purpose. Is it beneficial? We think so, as you know that the fuel distribution is equal for all four injectors.

With stainless lines and -an fitting this would look sexy as fuck. Decent price point too.

Stephanie Turner 07-30-2009 04:33 PM

I'll have photos of the stainless lines in a few days. The fittings are on the way.

The problem is each cylinder doesn't receive the same amount of air either. I'd try to remedy that first.

There's a place for this type of fuel rail but IMO even flow is not the selling point.

kudos on product development though.

benches with fuel rails, identical pumps, identical injectors in varying sizes with similar flow rates, and some beakers to collect fuel.

In short, they all worked exactly the same, no benefit.
