Default Worried about my purchase

I purchased a Shanghai-s kit and finally paid it off 3 weeks ago. I was told they're still waiting for the turbo actuator to get in. . It's been almost three weeks since then. I emailed stephanie and no reply.. I was wondering when will everything be ready? I'm kind of worried... Lastly, is there problems with the Begi website? I was going to purchase a Shanghai-s intercooler, but when I click "individual turbo parts" on the left side, it goes back to the homepage.

I was attempting to look at kits on their website last night and found that it wasn't working either.

If you're worried about three weeks I'll pull up a few threads that will make you cry yourself to sleep.

I think I waited about 6 weeks to get my kit back in 2008. If you are really interested give them a call instead of email. They have always been very slow at emails, but relatively good with the phone.

Research is your friend. But yes, 3 weeks isn't long for average wait time from Begi.

I'm trying to remember if I've ever called them once and couldn't get someone on the phone...nope, can't think of anytime.

Scenario A
Hey guys - I am really concerned about the amount of time it is taking for me to get an answer to a question. I sent an email and waited several days for a response but haven't seen one yet. Now, I am going to make a post on the internet and wait another several hours or possibly days to decide if I should be worried about that.
Scenario B
Original poster picks up the phone and talks to a human being in real time or possibly leaves a voicemail and receives an answer to his question in a reasonable time period.

Why are people afraid of using the telephone these days?

Very Good Question Scrappy! I think people forget that the phone exists these days. I have been out of the office for 10 days in the last three weeks. Unfortunately, I am not keeping up with email. I apologize for not getting back with you sooner. I am going the best I can. The website is down for maintenance and updates. Hopefully, it will be done tomorrow. Until then, please feel free to call or email me. If you need an answer sooner rather than later, please call.

Kevin, Tim is finishing the turbo for the system before yours then he is building your downpipe and finishing assembly on your turbo. It should be out of here in a few days.

I wish I could too. Our main fabricator, Justin, got pulled active duty for a month about three weeks ago. Then our machinist had a horrific motorcycle accident and has been in the hospital for three weeks too. The no notice we received from the Army put us in a bind, but Tim is plowing thru it the best he can. Supporting Justin with his Army reserves training/career makes life interesting at times, but we will continue to do so.

I think brain might have been referring to the whole revalve suspension fiasco with that one guy. In which anytime anyone asked when their product would ship, the answer was "Tomorrow".

It was eventually realized tomorrow would always be tomorrow, which meant the product would never ship.

Or maybe he really wanted you to say tomorrow. THe world will never know. Unless he responds.

That thread was soo much fun!! I wish we would re-hash it... :bigtu

"Really though, they're shipping tomorrow." - Bernie

3 months later - still not shipped

"I'm totally on top of it and these are shipping TOMORROW" - Some other guy

3 months later - still not shipped

I remember a few years back (probably like 3), when I got my sr20 turbo, I called Begi and asked about oil and water fittings/lines. I was immediately transferred to Corky and he spoon-fed me for 30 minutes.

In fact I've never had a bad transaction with them. Even after some weird orders with strange combinations of miscellaneous parts I've never had a late delivery or wrong order.

I'm with Viper. BEGi may not make promised ship times, but just as equally, I've always gotten what I've ordered from them.
