Thank you!
Changed the diff oil in both Miatas last night. Ordered an undertray and Frankenstein bolts for dad's car, as well as a shifter rebuild kit from 5x racing. Oil change to Rotella from the cheap stuff we put in there and an alignment next week and we'll be ready to put some more miles on it. My credit card is in great pain, but we're getting there.
Dad took the thing out in a rainstorm yesterday with no top. He had a permagrin for the rest of the day.
Life is good.

Super slacking on updates here. Still need to get pics and videos uploaded from Laguna Seca, but overall it was a great trip.
However, it now appears that I've lost the head gasket. Coolant is murky and smells of gasoline.
no milkshake in the valve cover. I'll do a block test soon to make sure but looks like head gasket again.
What's the consequence of running it like this, with combustion gases getting into coolant, as long as coolant stays out of the oil?

Great news!
Car passed the block test. Did it twice just to make sure. Must just be nasty coolant. I never did properly flush it, just filled it and ran it. Will do a flush and see if it goes brown again, but at this time there are no exhaust gases in the coolant.
