Real drag machine would be my roomates S-10. But making a miata go fast would be more fun. And *gasp* different. I know I sound like one of those newbs that wants to be different. But the difference is I know that if/when I fail it will be all my fault

Reasonable plan would be this.

Build 1.8
Install.
Bolt up current turbo and downpipe.
Make manifold jig of turbo placement so I can reuse downpipe.
Make manifold
Profit.
My current trubo has a 19t compressor upgrade path if I want to go that way.
18psi what kind of power difference is that.

That link is gone already.

Comanche does look like fun.

Comanche is my #1 choice right now for 3 reasons
1. They are awesome
2. It will be the second 4.0 vehicle in my household. And I need to get familiar with the platform anyways. Hailey's just broke 150k and I'm sure it will need new something soon.
3. I need a beater truck. I hate scratching my truck. Even tree branches make me cringe.

I briefly looked at doing some bracket racing with my car, but the safety regs for convertibles required doing stuff I didn't want to do to the car. Driveshaft loops, door bars (not stiffening door bars, but side-impact protection bars), scatter shields, etc. It depends on how fast the car is, but the ET calculators say that a 350 crank hp Miata is capable of doing 11s (assuming it can get traction), and that's fast enough to get into the significant safety requirements.

I dunno if those requirements were NHRA-wide or just for Sears Point, though.

Oh ****. I need to be quick. What year car is this?

good thing codrus is here. He is ABS swap master.

I need a front spindle (let me try and figure out which side.) (You should grab all the spindles for selling purposes though)
All the sensors
Rear axles
ABS pump
I think abs lines?
What year is the car?

If you want all of it, you want:

- ABS hydraulic unit
- mounting bracket for hydraulic unit
- pigtail of wiring harness connector for hydraulic unit
- front and rear uprights (need machining for sensors)
- all four sensors (find the connectors *inside* the car, cut them on the car side of the sensor so you have a pigtail, not the sensor side)
- rear axles (with ABS rings)
- front hubs (with ABS rings)
- booster
- master cylinder
- as many of the hard lines as you can get out
- prop valve
- windshield washer bottle is a nice plus

NB2 ABS systems have the ABS computer built into the hydraulic unit, NB1 and earlier (I think) have it inside the car.

See my build thread here:

Car is 99.
I need axles, but can pop off the rings.
Unless you just want to swap.

Perfect. Perfect. Perfect. The timing couldn't be better. Now that my RS3's are square.

I think Ian posted everything.

I don't need the washer bottle.

I already have 2 rear ABS spindles. I think I will need to find my own front, because NB.

So from Ians list:

- ABS hydraulic unit
- pigtail of wiring harness connector for hydraulic unit
- front and rear uprights (need machining for sensors)
- all four sensors (find the connectors *inside* the car, cut them on the car side of the sensor so you have a pigtail, not the sensor side)
- rear axles (with ABS rings)
- front hubs (with ABS rings) (Really only need one of them)
- booster
- master cylinder
- as many of the hard lines as you can get out
- windshield washer bottle is a nice plus
- ABS computer and wiring?

IIRC, the ABS computer on an NB1 is under the dash near the ECU.

I edited my list after you quoted it to add hydraulic unit bracket and prop valve.

Ok I need those also then.

Hardlines are a plus. But will be hard to ship. I can always make those for cheap I bet.

Is the 5mm track width of the NB in the hub or in the upright?

I already have 3 ABS uprights. I can find a 4th.

So if you are short on time or anything I need:

- ABS hydraulic unit
- mounting bracket for hydraulic unit
- pigtail of wiring harness connector for hydraulic unit
- all four sensors (find the connectors *inside* the car, cut them on the car side of the sensor so you have a pigtail, not the sensor side)
- rear axles (with ABS rings)
- booster
- master cylinder
- as many of the hard lines as you can get out
- prop valve

Why do I need the booster and master?

Shipping will be fun. I really hope we get everything.

I know both Leafy and TNTUBA have experience with this swap.

Normally I would search harder. But its my first day back at work after MRLS and I don't have any timre right now.
