Another FP Auto-x build
Hello. Low post count so I decided this was a good way to up it so people don't think I am scamming them when I try to buy things.
Intro: I co-drove Shawn (fourwhl's) FP car for a couple years before I decided buying a Fiat was a good idea. After campaigning if for a couple years I jettisoned that car to Carvana after this season and decided to ruin a perfectly good running 2001 in an effort to get back into prepared life. some of the old stuff was a bit more stubborn than others. dry ice on the sound deadening, rotary wheel on the seam sealer, and some cutting wheels to the door skins.

Progress has stalled a bit as i am waiting on parts. Knocked out some small stuff the past couple days.
All 4 corners are together and of course on the last coilover i find that it is a bit too close to comfort with the extended ball joints and wherever the eccentric bolts landed. Rear canisters mounted. Used some 50mm fuel filter pump mounts and feel it turned out well. I need to figure out a solution for the newly made holes. Seems a desk cable management type grommet would work.

Retuned to the house after a short vacation to some strategically timed packages. Progress isn’t anything too exciting, but it is progress. Tie rods completed the steering, front canisters are mounted, and all lines are routed via p-clamps.

Yesterday was a refresh myself on every way to extract a bolt day. Note to self: turn kerosene heater off when using the new torque wrench as you can’t hear the click and inch pounds are a lot less than foot pounds.

Don’t randomly throw stuff away. Tossed the expansion tank on accident so I had to pick up a new one.

This hydraulic lift table might be the most valuable tool in my garage. Made the differential install painless. Now that it is in I can get the rear buttoned up. I’ll have a roller soon enough.

Am I seeing two brake pressure sensors cantilevered off the ABS unit? I'd be looking to support them, or switch them to vertical and take the line out horizontally.

That's a nice neat interior though! Thanks on the interior comment. Spent some time on it where it would look minimized yet finished (for a stripped interior anyway.) feel like I met the goal. Edit: side note, still running that autronic in your signature? have one in my mr2. way ahead of it's time. |

Yes, still running the Autronic. The biggest drawback is it doesn't do CAN, but I am happy enough with the serial output. |

It is a ls3 knock sensor. Cheap. Dependable.

Haven't used it yet, however liked the setup in Shawn's car. I skipped running it through the haltech. The power requirement take A LOT of inputs and the typical resistor knob made the most sense.

Went over to check on the car today and to knock out a couple things needed for startup. Test fit the mock up of the restrictor and got the swaybar/lower radiator hose on.
