I know there are some 4x4 guys on here, so here ya go.
Picked up this 91 Limited last weekend and thought I would post a few pics as I fix it up. Here it is as I bought it last weekend. It had a mix of different 33" tires and a ton of body damage and broken front windsheild.
I took it to get glass the next day and got some new Goodyear Duratrac 33x12.5r15's put on today. The ride is way smoother than I expected for a hybrid tire.
It already had a lift on it. I think it is a 4", but I'm not sure of the brand.
I scored some new manual doors for cheap off craigslist to replace the trail damaged ones.
I'm working on cutting the rockers out today to add some 2x6 3/16 square bar for sliders. Here is where I'm at now.
The paint is some cheap spray on latex army green. I like the green but its chipping off so I will be Herculining the jeep with green tinted liner on the outside.

Finally got some time to work on it today. Hopefully I can finish up all the welding tomorow so I can get those sliders and jams herculined and put the doors on for a trip Saturday, going shark fishing.
I'm putting four of these tabs on each side, might come back with more supports later.
On the jeep
Started trimming the rear wheel arch and doing the quarter fold. Need to finish tacking the fenders and the box fold.

Front coils are RE, probably 4.5" coils. you can check the lift with a plumb bob on the front end by dropping it under the rear bolt, then running a level down till parallel with the front bolt. I highly suggest control arm drop brackets for the ride. If you are going to be landing those rockers on many rocks, I also suggest running at least a piece of 1x2 from the rock rails to the "frame".
Not sure on tire coverage laws where your from, but the Rusty's flex flares look WAY promising. The BW flares tend to crack when you brush them against a tree/rock.
A cheap mod for a few extra HP is the 99+ intake manifold found on the XJ's, WJ's, and TJ's. If your exhaust Manifolds cracked and you plan on keeping the jeep awhile, Oreilly sells an exhaust manifold with a lifetime warrenty. The stock ones are rarely uncracked. Mine was cracked almost all the way around the primary. Its a 97 with 181k miles as reference.

The exhaust manifold is SS and when you submerge them, they crack. The Dorman exhaust manifold comes with the new gaskets
run something to the "frame" rails. You will be hung up on the "frame" long before you get hung up on the connecting bars
You on NAXJA yet? Pirate is like here, and NAXJA is between MT.net and M.net. Its amazing how many people are dedicated to these little shoe box 4WD's.

Jeeps are awesome a couple of my friends own them and they will not die. The one CJ has been highly airborne or multiple occasions and just doesn't give up. They are fairly cheap and hold their own in the woods and on the trails.
