BFF Miata Build! Bracing! Turbo! Drift? Auto-x? LETS DO IT ALL!
hey guys, this is my 95 M edition.
stock:
well, this is how i ended up with this car!
my friend bought it from an older man, its been sitting on grass/gravel for awhile. so the day we drove it home, the rotors and brakes were rusted.
I had to drive it home for him since he couldn't drive a 5sp all to well.
a couple weeks of him owning it, he took it to my dad's shop and i did a couple things to it.
timing belt, water pump, valve cover gasket, tune-up, brembo oem pads and rotors, rim and tires, and coil overs.
well he drove the car for a little less than a year before i decided i wanted to try and boost a car... up until this time I've only rebuilt turbos on a couple volvos and fixed a couple turbo diesels hot/cold pipes.
i was looking at a couple miatas but he called me and told me he would sell me his, and i couldn't pass up that because, well, i knew what was already done and how he drove. soooo, that's how i ended up with this miata!
i got the car back in, i think, early august.
I am uploading pics to Photobucket as im typing so ill update you guys in a couple minutes!

I didnt take any pics while installing the coil overs :[
but i did get a couple pics of when i pulled the tranny and replaced the clutch

my best friend under the lift
old clutch disc, bearings, i drove around on broken springs until the clutch kit came in. i got stuck a couple times and had to no lift shift home from work the day i was supposed to replace it.
new PP and CD
also installed a new boot, the original one was ripped and you could hear so much road noise and feel so much heat ha

after a month and a half wait, i finally received the Begi-s kit!

separated gas DP
2nd bung for WB o2
and a couple other goodies!
i also picked up a used red trunk lid, a black rear finish panel, and Right side taillight to replaced everything that got smashed

okay, a couple days after getting the shipment ive been waiting on for the longest, me and my best bro finally finished a couple things at the shop, so we could use the mini lift at night!
first night!
the build took less than 6 days, working on it about 2-4 hours a night.
I'll let the pics do the rest

the longest time spent was on how to route the hot and cold pipes and mounting the intercooler!
since i still have A/C and P/S, i couldn't route it the way i saw begi and a couple other builds on here... so we cut and torched some metal out of the way!
tapped the gm open element into the coldside of the intercooler.

i also bought an 2.5'' cat back exhuast, i already deleted the cat.
