now onto the bracing, stiffening the chassis, and suspension!
so far for suspension, i have Ground Control Coil overs and the GS front/rear swaybars installed.
for the chassis/stiffness, i have a couple things!
i ordered the UR rear lower tiebar, but it wouldn't fit because of my exhaust and lower bracing, so i made one

and i also made a 4 point lower member brace instead of buying one
Ultra Racing Steel 4PT Front Lower Bar Member Brace 90 98 Mazda MX 5 Maita NA | eBay

but it turned out like crap and too heavy, so i went to home depot, picked up the same metal i used to make the rear brace, and welded them together. soooo much lighter and cleaner than the first one i made!
heres some pics of it on the car, i didnt take any on the bench because i was in a hurry.

FM Butterfly Brace!

Then the roll bar showed up!
Cusco Safety 21

had to move the ecu over a bit

put the metal shielding on, had to cut some off to fit

carpet back on!

hardtop on

and here's how the inside looks, i recently changed my steering wheel from an ebay one to this old Grant my dad used about 20 years ago!
it even has the "Grant" Signature on it

the only thing not pictured is the PPF Power kit. i also didnt take pics while installing it :[

Exactly what I came to comment on. Don't buy an ebay exhaust, and when it doesnt fit blame all aftermarket parts.
Anyways, that ebay exhaust in particular DOES NOT fit with the brace that you had to space out. I have the same cheap exhaust and it fit my car (without the brace) with no modification.
OP, i actually like you - but seriously man those wheels DO NOT fit and look like ****. Let that trendy **** die and build yourself a nice functional, fun car.
Just my

What kind of welder are you using? Fluxcore? Cause it's not working very well.
Try preheating the metal with a torch, it usually helps when I have to use our 110v fluxcore.

The second bracing i made i used my 220 mig at our shop
But thanks for the tip!
It's a good thing you have those stickers in your rear window, without them it would be so hard to tell your car apart from all the other miatas with stickers in their rear window.
