Stants!

ELBJs are on, another alignment scheduled for tomorrow. I thought I had previously replaced the ball joints on Brad when I swapped the nb rollerskate in, but apparently not. Old boots were worn and tearing. So they go introduced to the pickle fork, so much easier than having to preserve things. I've got a coolant flush on the list, brake fluid flush, replace a connector, and wrap some nitrous lines in something less abrasive on the list. But those are all pretty minor things that can be done in a short amount of time.

Turns out on the shift ****, I just needed to put some force into it. No longer makes vibratey noises. So that's cool. I really like this one, feels good and just the right amount of weight.

I haven't updated this thread mainly because I was meaning to get some gopro footage uploaded from my first trackday which was....almost two months ago. Nice job me.

Anyway, Vlad finished up the tune, and it's been seeing half DD duty since. I also did another trackday with it last weekend and didn't even touch anything before going to the track. That felt weird. I just loaded the car onto the trailer (the trailer was blocking my way, ramps were already down, and tools were still in the truck from a bmw shakedown day a couple days prior, so I said **** it) and drove it to the track. Car is performing well, and it feels great to just get some consistent seat time. Between being a better driver and the track being somewhere around 3-4 seconds faster with the re-pave, I've almost hit the same time I did in the LS car a couple of years back. Only about a second and a half off, so that's pretty lulz.

That's pretty much it. Oh, I broke my passenger window regulator in the morning on Saturday, so I gotta replace that at some point. Maybe one of these days I'll remount the kirkey lower and put a harness in it, I'm getting my *** beat by these trackdays with how much I have to brace myself. The kirkey that came with this car is made for fat people and the 3pt does **** all at stopping me from sliding around in the seat. Idk, it would be nice, but it also won't stop me from running the car at more trackdays. Car is good though, it's not fast, but it's fun enough that I'm having a good time with it.

Here's a picture of the shitbox and Katy's car. She was supposed to run the trackday in the foxbody, but like usual, ****'s broken.

Being the n00b driver that I am, I never appreciated this enough until G took me out in his 300whp NB at laguna and we kept getting lapped by 90whp cars that were driving 11/10 flat out.
It really is fascinating how that works
