Brad gets beat

Technically 30 days, I'm on 13 today. I asked what the fine print was, does it have to be installed by a certified...etc. He said that there wasn't any fine print, that I'd just need to return it. So best case scenario, I'm out the money to ship it. Worst case, they don't honor the warranty. I'd put money on the second scenario though, I've heard importers can be very resistant to actually following through with the warranty.

actually, from what I've experienced they usually don't care and do honor it. a few locals have had to return/exchange like 3-4 times before getting an engine that works, cause these places are totally clueless and just keep flipping parts/engines, they never actually take the time or the care to check or test anything. most the time they don't even really know what engine they have. just sorta wing it.
on another note, I thought you were getting an engine from that one other guy? not the import place

It's an idea, the original reason I've been buying dropouts is cause Brad is supposed to be my daily and I wanted to get him on the road ASAP. Machine shops seem to work on a different timeline than the rest of the world so I didn't want to deal with waiting on an engine to get back. I also tend to fall into the "while I'm there" trap which can be dangerous for the pocketbook lol
I might think about it at this point though because I pretty much have to go buy a new daily this week. That'll give me more time to either find an engine I 100% know runs or rebuild the bp4w in the shop. I've also always wanted to rebuild an engine (less so after watching Aidan's fun lol) so I'll think about it.

Mike at Auburn Auto Machine is awesome. He fully machined my block and balanced everything in roughly a week. It took longer for me to pick it up than it did for him to do the work. They are right by where you work. (they are next door to laser fabrication if you know them)
