I finally got a good mechanic to get the sensors matched to the pcm. It idles great and remains at the right temperature but it overheats when it moves down the road. The temperature creeps over 230.
for about a month I was trying track down why. After talking to a few people, one person says, “Your fans are running backwards.”

I bled the radiator. It had no more air in it.
[img alt="Before this, I had been considering another radiator, but it didn’t seem to really be the problem. I looked at hood vents. I didn’t like cutting up the hood and having rain and stuff get it in. Then I finally found out why. I asked the mechanic if the fans were going the right direction. He said yes. It is an easy mistake to make. When you reach behind the fans there is air moving.
The best way to do this is to put your hands in front of the radiator and feel if the air is pushing. "]https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.miataturbo.net-vbulletin/2000x922/img_2260_1b8875ae330cc4f6f671fdd8b8067df651320a2e. png[/img]
