Driveway plus Pacific Northwest is why I got twibs415 to do mine

Also removed the GV rep and test fitted the new lip and drilled the mounting holes so I can drop it off for paint.

Lip fits perfectly. Held it self on there while up in the air for about an hour.

Definitely lucky. He doesn't like others using it, but I got lucky and had something to bribe him with.

Lip dropped off for paint. Not sure if it'll be done before my trip to Portland/Eugene this weekend.

Drive down here. I've got a shop and can do a clutch in a day if we're quick.

This is the best you get for now. Just set it real quick. Flying to Portland in a few minutes.

Should probably catch this thread up.

I added stripes a few months ago.

Stripes are better than solids.

I "reunited" with my old car.
So a year ago today I found a post of the old smurf looking sad and making me depressed.

This is depressing. I'm bad, and I should feel bad.

Now exactly a year later, a buddy of mine tagged me on Facebook.

He bought the old girl. SLO KART will finally be put to rest after being stripped down.

I sold a VLSD

I'm a happy camper.

Box cost $12 from HD. 29"x20"x16. Perfect size for Diff w/carrier. Packed with heavy shipping paper.

Weighs 66lbs all packed up

And bought a 3.9 Torsen.

And some older stuff.

They're home.

Installed the 3.9 and the exhaust.

Fab9 front mount mounted. Had to enlarge the mounting holes. B-

MiataRoadster Stud Kit (Top 2nd was tightened)

Bad pic of the awesome Garage Star Tow Hook

Installed these BRG short flaps thanks to Ken @GarageStar

Had some bungs welded for IAT and IACV

And now the bad parts.

I have never drilled a hole in an oil pan. A few years ago I wouldn't have attempted it. It was scary.

Lots of grease, a nice pilot hole, and more grease, and we have a hole.

There was a problem. We drilled too big. Drilled 1/2, when the fitting I was given was 3/8. Thankfully we found one locally at a performance shop, crisis adverted.

After some tapping and more grease.

Line on

Tight clearances.

MK Turbo kit almost done.

I've had this "First Gen" TurboXS BOV for ~4 years now and have been waiting to use it.

Look at that perfect metal.

Uhhh wait a sec.

AHHH

I have cut a hole in my Miata.

Also cleaned up the bay a little bit.

Bonus shot of a pretty clean top end.

Also knocked out lengthening the IAT from the OEM location to the cold side piping just past the intercooler, wired up the boost gauge and tested it, and changed spark plugs. Getting very close.

Also recently picked up this Trap rear spoiler from someone else in Cali who didn't want to ship. Thanks to a friend at Hoonigan and some other drifter types, this made it's way from Formula Drift Long Beach to Road Atlanta before it came down to me in Tampa.

And got these V-Special floor mats
