Created my own cluster in TS if anyone likes it I can attach it. It is a full theme that comes with matching VE gauges as well.

I installed Launch Control this last weekend. Its been fun.

Went to the junk yard the other day and hit the jackpot and bought a protege valve cover for 20 bucks. I stripped it and primered it than finished with vht wrinkle black. Also added a vms catch can.

Quick Update. Added Flat Shift to my tune. Holy Crap I love it. I started having problems getting into 3rd. So I upgraded my Diff Mounts to Garage Star Delrin. Now at Idle it feels like theres a back massage. After long drives in traffic i shake like an alcoholic haha. They aren't that bad. Shifting is cake and now I have a little diff whine when acceleration. I have IL motorsport motor mounts so that may also have a lot to do with the severity of the stiffness. The old diff bushings were ****. I was bumping my exhaust with the diff and getting wheel hop on launches. All thats gone with the new bushings. I can also now find 3rd under hard accel.

Also I am in the market for a used manifold with external waste gate or an old FM manifold I can tap for one. I had one but I was dumb and sold it before I knew I could tap the bottom of it like an old FM3.

So seeing as there had to be an issue. I used my free tow to tow it to SmOky's(Branko) house to use his larger garage space and hoist and stand.

So after we got the motor out and disassembled part of it. The number 2 rod was loose and the bearing seemed thinner than the others. It had not spun but definatley some knock or something had been beating the **** out of it. As you can see by the picture it still had the tab to seat it just looked thinner than the others.

Look at all that aluminum from tapping the oil pan. Yuck and to think I followed FMs procedure to the T.

Compressed bearing

The crank had some very fine scratches that I could barely feel with my finger nail. Glad I turned it off when I did. Took the crank to the machine shop and had it polished.

Its really nice for 100 bucks. Been holding up nicely and you can replace the spring with stiffer ones to higher psi ones

Lots of engine pullin' going on around here lately.

Want to come up to Granbury and pull the engine out of the silver car? I'll let you take wicked photos with obscene gestures!
