Welp just a quick update a buddy of mine has a good short block that he is going to let me use. I am in the process of buying a home at the moment so I need to keep it cheap for the moment. I do plan to have a more aggressive setup just want to get out of my apartment and small garage and into my own property and bigger garage. This week and next week I will be pulling the motor and swapping stuff over. New gaskets should be here Tuesday.

Looks pretty conservative. Wierd spike in your earlier VE table.

I use as little AE as I can get away with. It's really just a bandaid to get over lean stumbles. Much more important around the off-idle area than when the motor is spun up.

Yeah Im using barely any AE right now but I still needed more than what I was running. Between adjusting that and pulling some timing I got that spike to relax a little. Im going to keep running logs and work with it this week since Im on vacation. I went driving through the hill country this morning before the heat kicked in. Was nice to be back in the car. I also changed my boost target so im not hitting 10psi unless at 50+tps. Thats helped alot with take off and cruising around but still gets down and boogies when I want it to.

Im probably going to make a run to Radioshack later in the week and use your diy to make myself a det can.

Damn dude, huge bummer on the rebuilt motor letting loose. I bet the crank is ovalized, OR just too big of clearances for stock bearings. Did you plastigauge anything? Always plastigauge oil clearances, dawg.

Also, sup with the paint? You flat black this thing? I though it was looking pretty nice with the OEM black before, but it still looks kickass in the most recent pic so +1.

Yeah I had tons of scratches that were not so descriptive in the pics. I was getting rust as well so I sanded the whole car down to metal and primed and then sprayed it with a HF spray gun. Which sucked *** so I sanded that down with 2000 and then put a coat of rustoleum semigloss down with a high density roller. I also bought a new hood and cut a whole by the turbo and added mesh to it. The heat shield protects the turbo from water and my water temps have dropped a **** ton. I noticed with the extractor that I was cooling down well at idle but not so much on the highway. Now I cool down well at Idle and have great cooling on the highway cause air isn't wanting to bypass the radiator as much(so I think). Anyway car is much more reliable now. I need to post the dyno results.

I have help coming over tomorrow. Hoping to get the NA redone by the end of the weekend. Once it is done, I build the jigs, and go get custom boxes made to fit it all. By the time I have the boxes I should be ready to ship.
