Not bad for not measuring. Keeping the stock ducting makes it very easy. That and an assortment of hole saws.

Next is cutting the rear undertray, which obviously I can only do half until I know where the hot side is going to end up.

Got into a discussion with the guys who sell the chinacharger (Cxracing)

They expect to have a proper T25 flange in in a month or two. Man, I wish they had it now, it would be great if they did.

My E-motorUSA 2870 is still great. I run it to 25psi.

Ha, I came here just to post that. I'd sell it for the right price. AND I got the correct oil feed fitting.

And you told me it spooled shitty cause you think the wastegate wasn't closing fully. ???

miatauser884 02-16-2012 09:02 PM

Mine spools fine

No idea if they used a EDM or just a little mill, although they did say EDM would take a couple weeks and they only had it one. As a bonus it's nice and clean, no evidence of all my penetrating oil and shavings. Hopefully now it'll assemble nicely and still be clockable.

Looks very similar to my setup!! Except mine is an ewg setup.

I think you'll be happy with how nicely it'll bolt together and the type of power it'll make in conjunction with your turboz. :bigtu:

This is as far as I got after 30 minutes. Time for bed before I dive in for the final fitting. This is just a mock up to see how it all looks/fits/sits.

You can see my greddy oil drain line, to get an idea of how much lower this one fits.

That elbow coming off the turbo just looks so odd. I have never seen one like that.

curly 03-28-2012 12:58 PM

Yeah, kinda wish I had a straight one, as I could rotate the compressor housing and make it work without that Bend towards the block, but that's $40+shipping I don't wanna spend right now.

I fully understand not wanting to spend the $40 for the straight one. I remember when I had to spend the $80 for both of them and that being nearly what I paid for my use T2554.

abes stuff looks amazing, looking good on your car as well.

Manifold is painted with aluminum BBQ paint, I think 300* cooler than VHT, only 1200. I hope it lasts. I also thought the trio of lines looked interesting. I might try to group them together so I can wrap them in heat protection stuff. But the valve cover vent and wastegate were there and the water line had to be pointed up to leave room for the filter elbow.

And the routing of the intercooler pipe. Worked out well, even with the funky elbow.

Nice and simple intercooler piping, i like it....

Hoping the bbq paint lasts, if so ill do mine with that too.
