To be honest, Adaptronic's new modular ECU looks very interesting. No clue if it will ever make it to the US.

How about a MS3 from Braineack and then the adapter DIY sells to make it work perfectly with the Iq3S.

The MS3 has obviously proven itself time and time again on this platform as well as others, however in this department I am not the one doing the tuning, and the individual who will be handling the engine calibration is not very fond of MS for his own personal reasons. Haltech is a perfectly suitable EMS to use here, and has everything i need and more, not to mention their amazing customer support. I have no qualms with MS, my tuner does however. And no, i do not need a new tuner lol

Nothing wrong with that. Like I said, if self tuned. Otherwise just get what your tuner prefers, it's a good way of making sure the car will run perfectly. I've not had the opportunity to mess with haltech much, they seem quite pricey and the big deal breaker is the necessity to re-wire stuff (I guess that's not an issue now with pnp?)

I highly recommend the Haltech. Nothing against MS3, but I have seen what the Haltech's are capable of on turbo Miata's and needless to say I am extremely impressed with the versatility of the ECU and straightforward tuning. Rally style anti-lag is a very cool feature, among others, though if I'm not mistaken MS is capable of this as well.

Boomslang makes a top of the line PNP harness for the Haltech Elite's now.

BF25039 - Boomslang Plug n Play Harness - Haltech Elite - Excelerate Performance - European, Exotic and Japanese Performance Specialists!!

Definitely not cheap, but I suppose if you value your time... If you value your time at $100 an hour (shop labor) I don't think any of us could prep a harness in 4 hours as nice looking as the Boomslang one.

Yea I am excited for the Haltech, im going with the elite 1500. Hopefully by the time I am buying the harness Haltech will have theirs released at a comparable price. I really just need this EMS4 to sell so i can go ahead and pull the trigger on the Haltech.

Unfortunately over the weekend I hit a deer in my Golf R, luckily I walked away unharmed, the deer hobbled away, and the car was drive able. When i swerved to miss the deer, he turned parallel to the car and sort of just bounced down the side of the car.
Was gonna post pics but for some reason I am currently unable too, will try again later.

BWAHAHAHAHA, thank you! hahaha

Yea, the damage wasnt horrible, but he managed to ding every panel down the driver side of the car. I drop the car off tomorrow for inspection/ repair quote :/

Damn! Poor Golf R... looked like a super clean car.

IC core finally showed up, I got all the piping/ couplers for over the radiator routing, with the height of the turbo it may make the 90* bend off of the compressor housing a bit tricky, just needs a little massaging and it will all work itself out. Tonight im going to figure out mounting for the core as well as additional support on the bottom half of the radiator, as well as finishing the fuel system now that the rest of the fittings finally arrived.

I also got this awesome hoodie from Blipshift!

The core is a CX racing core for a Plymouth Conquest, 2.25" in/out which will likely eventually become a restriction but will be just fine for now.

Probably because it is not a shirt. It is a hoodie as he stated. Why can't you identify it as what it wants to be identified as.

Braineack 11-29-2016 10:34 AM

Already available...

Yup, but unless they updated the WARi software, I'll still take MS/TS over it.
Last I checked (a few months ago) it was still glitchy and outdated.
