Where is your camera in that video it looks like you glued it to your chest and went for a drive.

Reads speed sensor and that's it. Factory VSS.

There is a calibration table where you enter the maximum mph increase per second for each gear. Hydra knows what gear you are in by entering the speed @ 2000RPM for each gear into a table.

e.g., if there is an increase of 30mph/second in 1st gear, the following can happen:

cut fuel x% in y gear
cut spark x% in y gear

There is also spark and fuel trim for each gear. If in the future I want less ostentatious traction control I could set that up. Seems booring though :| and fuel and spark cut would probably still be necessary. Even if I trim fuel and spark (without trimming so much to prevent RPM from building), well, 17+psi is still 17+psi.

Hay now haterade. Are you calling me or my EMS out? I can't tell. Also do you have traction control set up with your MS?

Haha it was my cell phone stuck between my chin and my chest. My ******* real camera is hard to "mount" there.

I think it is time to change out the exhaust on my car. I ran without connecting downpipe to the muffler for a while earlier this week and it sounded so much better. The magnaflow really muffles all the nasally wierd gurbly snarling popping goodness. I think I want to just go straight pipe with a resonator.

Something amazingly high end like this quality $29 piece right here:

Crazy *** fools with their loud exhaust making them louder lol.
If I could make my exhaust silent without sacrificing any power I would lol.

Only sound I wanna hear is that sweet sexual goodness that is spool

I am weird. I like a quiet exhaust. But sometimes, I want it to sound like a snarling popping beast. Oh well. Cut out maybe?

I want the snarls but zero drone. I hate drone. I'm thinking that two different types of resonators should break up the standing waves.

Paging Y8s: what do you think of that idea Dr Y?

I'm using 2 BIG *** resonators, and an 18x10 cannister straight through 3" all the way. it does not drone at all, and sounds beastly when at WOT.

y8s has a bigger cannister than me iirc so his is probably a lil quieter

darn it I searched for a while here and did not find your thread with the details on your exhaust system. Linkasaurus please? Or details?

Details please on your setup? Or links? Where'd you get your resonators and canister?

I am trying to do this on the cheap. Like taco bell cheap

I'm using the monster 5x11x22 magnaflow muffler shown here:

and a dynomax bullet race muffler for a resonator.

I tried tidying up some of my wiring.

The 01+ has a big ******* mess of connectors at the front of the motor-

IAC
TPS
VVT
knock
crank angle sensor
A/C
PS
some other PS or plug
Injector
some 4 pin plug that goes back into the fuel injector harness. not sure what this is. I think EGR.

In short, it looks like ****. Having been inspired by some of the nicer looking engine bays here, I tried to make it look a bit better and stuffed most of the passenger side connectors under the intake manifold. When I swap out my intake mani for my gutted one I'll wrap up the wires and hide them a little bit more.

I would still like to remove the water line from the TB to the water neck and same goes for the rubber turbo lines. Will only do that though when I'm sure about my turbo setup. Also, the disgusting catch can lines are removed. The catch can was doing jack ****, probably because 18psi of pressure on one side of the can and um 18psi or whatever the inverse of 18psi of vacuum on the other side meant that all the blowby was being evacuated at high velocity into the compressor wheel-- which I confirmed visually.

In general, I think my engine bay still looks pretty horrible. The black with purple accents works for Prince and Barney but not for a car engine. There's just nothing in the bay that um, to use the disgustingly trending graphic design phrase, "pops". It's like staring into a dirty black 300hp pit. Uncomely. I think for my pending turbo system "redo" I will just go with silver accents

Much better, but still needs work.
Some of the rogue wires chillin throughout the bay really kill the look. I'd address that 1st. Then the homosexual piping color.
It will look good just needs attention to detail.

In installed gas filled hood props which are ******* amazing. They are one of the best mods I have done to the car. Also, when I removed the old prop-bar it really cleaned up the front of the engine. Woo hoo!

Since my catch can is doing dick, I decided to make it work. There really is too much oil going into the compressor.

I removed the stupid PCV hose and capped off the upper intake manifold PCV barb. I then routed the PCV valve and the breather to a brand new awesome catch can. Earlier, when I started working on the car, I had a Red Bull. Spying the discarded can on the floor, I saw that it was perfect for a new and functional breather filter. I suppose this idea was inspired by racers using water bottles as overflow tanks. This Red Bull can, perfect it was, indeed, for the hoses slid right into the mouth of the can with a slight adjustment to enlarge the opening.

The problem here though, is that they were just too snug in the opening. I cut some slits in the can which should allow for the gas to escape:

The problem with this awesome setup is that all the gas would VTA without being filtered. I could have just tied it at the bottom of the car and let it drip on the ground but as 18psi said, attention to detail is important. So I wrapped this nice athletic sock around it to soak up some of the oil mist so I could leave the can in the engine bay:

I used zip ties to attach the sock to the hoses.

To finish the install, I securely propped it next to my old worthless and nonfunctional, but pretty mishimoto knock-off can.

Your post above the last is cleaning it up.

Then you go and do something to completely reverse what you did.

Sounds like you need a winter season like canada to just clean your **** up hahahaha

I love you brother, really I do....but "YOU ARE KILLING ME SMALLS" You have talked about going with braided lines and AN fittings, this would be the perfect place to start the upgrade. Seriously, the latest addition to your engine compartment is a huge fail, you can do better!!

As far as exhaust goes, the novelty of a loud exhaust wears off very quickly if it is on a daily driver. I have a Y8S super muffler, and will be building rear section using his set up to test on the dyno, if there is no power loss I will run it.
