There will be both logs and videos soon. I'll have a log up this afternoon and videos asap. I'll get some 10psi videos to show you guys what I'm working with now before i run ALLOFIT.
On a side note I'm pretty sure a i need an oil restrictor with this turbo. Getting one now, or may do the pop rivet trick. I know this turbo ran a .60 as per OEM setup on a sr20, and I'm running the big oil feed line without a restrictor now. I see puffs of smoke and a little bit of oil seaping/burning off the CHRA. Hopefully that fixes my puffs of smoke, because i know my oil return is fine and this motor sure never smoked in the car I pulled it out of.
I also just wanted to say to anyone debating if a 1.8 swap is worth it: YES, ******* YES. Seriously it is so awesome, this motor feels so much better. Throttle response is better, if i mash on the gas it spins tires (before it would think about spooling up for a while, then spool up, then finally maybe spin some tires if it could come up with enough torque). For a street car no reason to not have the 1.8. For a track car, I guess the 1.6 was fine since you are in high revs all the time. This thing on 10psi has got to be close to my old 1.6 + greddy on 15psi. it sure feels like it at least, and the way it spins tires is way more fierce than the old setup. Not to mention the launches.. on the 1.6 launching was very hard. I'd either bog it or way overpower it, now with the BP4w it's so effortless and easy.
Man I want to go drive.

This is at 9.4 psi on the flattest road I could find. It may have even been ever so slightly uphill..
Also keep in mind I live at 7200 feet, so this means that my atmospheric pressure is approximately 78KPA (as per my MAP sensor). This means 9.4 psi = 145KPA.

Old VS new. Red is new.
The old greddy setup was peaking at 184kpa and falling to 160kpa by redline. The new setup is 145kpa and dropping to 140kpa at redline.
LOL 1.8 ftw bitches.
Disclaimer: not on the same road, both were as flat as I could find at the time. I live in a hilly area, not an 100% accurate comparison.

Heres the log from that pull. It definitely needs more tuning, but for the most part it's "safe". Going to do a ton more of fine tuning on 9psi before touching a MBC for now.

Did the pop rivet oil restrictor, measured the ID of the 1/8 rivet and it came out to about .65. Installed is as per Sam Navy's thread, and there is a huge difference. Car does not seem to smoke at all now, we'll see over time but I can 100% say there was a huge improvement. Needless to say, I'm VERY happy about that.
Now I've just got this fan issue to tackle, then I'm flashing the Hi res code on the ECM. I wonder if the firmware could have corrupted somehow or something, and hi-res code might fix my fan?
Either way, Hi Res code soon. More resolution for these beastly injectors (which already idle GREAT, btw) they are so much better than my old rx7 550's.

Update! She still throws a ploom of smoke now and then, but much less. Maybe a slightly smaller restrictor would help, something I'll consider still. I'm very satisfied with the car, even with a tiny bit of oil consumption. It burns clean under accell and load, the only time I've seen smoke is free revving at idle and after a hard vacuum pull at high revs, and its only a tiny poof at that. Doesn't bother me.
Got it running on hi-res code today, huge improvement with the extra resolution.. especially at idle.
Troubleshot the fan **** a bit more, still nothing I could find. I've got a few more ideas to try thanks to the thread I have going in the megasquirt section.
Roughed in the tune some more, dialed out about 2 degs of timing from the 99-00 base map since i have shitty 91 octane to rely on for now. Going to wait and switch to e85 and I'll run big timing then

Had a scary moment today and almost pulled a leatherface. I pulled the car back in the garage after some tuning and it was knocking, LOUD. My heart sunk, i shut of the car immediately of course, got out and proceeded to imagine the worse - contemplated parting it out, etc.. Then i pulled myself together and started troubleshooting. Took a long screwdriver to use as a stethoscope and listened to the valve cover first. LOUD knocking. Then i listened to the bottom end. smooth as buttah, so that made me feel better as the the issue was in the top end.
Immediately suspected a cam pulley, pulled the VC and voila! cam pulley loose on drivers hand side. Tightened it back up and I'm back in business. Put both cam pulleys to 40 ft lbs as per the FSM to be sure.
I **** you not, that was a scary sound. I guess I failed to tighten it properly.. I'm so ******' relieved.
The car is running SICK, i love the extra torque. It makes the car so much better for street driving. Mmmmm.. now to get my tune figured out. I got the tune perfect in boost, but in cruise i was having trouble getting it dialed in to a steady AFR. Just now it hit me though, I bet EGO correction is on in closed loop during cruise. I gotta check my settings and do some more tuning.

Sweet, what boost level are you at for that pull? Making me wonder why mine is dropping towards redline, i've still got tuning to do so I'll post a dyno graph all said and done. It is dropping from about 9.5psi to about 9 flat towards redline, so maybe that is part of it. I noticed running JUST off wastegate it's pulling a massive 5psi... LOL.
The MBC i'm using is a bleeder valve type, and after doing some reading I think a ball/spring would be better for quick boost onset.

I'm using a ball/spring. But it's a serious POS. If i can't get the EBC working i'll order a turbosmart or expensive MBC. That was at 10psi. But i have a FULL port / polish on my entire turbo, manifold, and turndown. Not sure how much that helps, but it cant hurt. With FM 2.5" exhaust, and stock engine.
I just thought the torque curve between ours was interesting.
Edit* I'm unsure of the differences between a sr20 t25 and a gt2560r. If any.

I'm using a ball/spring. But it's a serious POS. If i can't get the EBC working i'll order a turbosmart or expensive MBC. That was at 10psi. Sweet *** virtual dyno graph though, dig it man. I wonder what my car weighs right now, I just had to guess. I deleted A/C, the softop, spare tire emissions junk, lots of random wiring, a few metal interior panels
Added a rollbar and a turbo kit. I'm about 170lbs. My guesstemation came out to 2400ish with driver, but i may be heavier.
Edit: I'm also at over 7k feet elevation, and the thin air has a massive effect on turbos, engine compression, etc.

Yeah, i have some pretty cool dense air around here. Plus i still have a full car, i've only deleted a few emissions things, the rest is all there. I guess you're right, it's because of the turbo. I'm building this engine, i'll dump some e85 in it and try not to blow up my trans. If i do a 300hp pull i'll be super stoked. I'm getting my head ported too, that should help.
