Interesting thread you have here.

I find it ironic that your 95 is like my cars twin (at one time anyways), and that a friend of mine has a Mustang that he calls white trash.

So I have been working my *** off lately, averaging 100hrs a week. Finally got some time to wrench on the beater. I built some Bilstein coilovers.

Sitting 12.5/13.0 hub to fender, way nicer than blown shocks. Building something better at a later date.

Outlined here

Then I installed this during a rain/hail storm. I had no choice I'm leaving tomorrow and wanted to finally be dry.

Haartz Mazda Miata 1990 2005 Convertible Soft Top Plastic Window Black Cabrio | eBay

Not too shabby for 158.

I also did the shifter boots and turret oil, shifts way nicer and is way quiter. I used the NC small boot as it was cheaper and bolted up no problem. Didn't have time for the timing belt/water pump/seals/belts/hose kit. Trying to decide if I want 8's and 205's or 9's and 225's. I'll update this thread when I get home in 2 weeks and knock a bunch more **** off the list. Looking for some of those ebay clear front turn signals if anyone has a link, cant find them for the life of me now.

Jake, car looks great! When you get back I may have something for you to test on your rear shocks to improve ride.

Thumbs up. I put my E-bay top on the silver car in 2006. Still looks brand new. I did get the glass window for the extra $80 or whatever it was.

I thought nothing from the NC worked on our cars. What's this about a shift boot?

Yes some of those would help a ton or some of that stuff on your MS Miata.

The smaller boot has the same bolt pattern as the NC miata, look at the prices at finishlineperformance.com

I went back and forth about dding R comp tires. I like that they are dual duty but after the first track day they sound like mud tires. Then it was 9's vs 8's and 205's vs 225's. I decided with my power currently 205's were fine. Grabed some 15x8+25 Axis OG San and 400TW Dunlops in 205/50/15. Then Hustler's daily got wrecked and I picked up his AST 3000's and swapped out the Bilsteins.

I bought them, he delivered them the same day Hustlers car broke down 60 miles south of my house but he was able to limp it here. The next night we had my son do his plugs while we slammed cheap whiskey.

Tonight I decided to work on my door cards. I found a local leather shop that sold scratch and dent leather. I bought a whole cow and I'm currently trying to get my interior to smell like a baseball glove.

Oh, and I almost forgot that I had Two Six Motorsports put some of their prototype wheel bearings in the rear. They use a high grade ball, new races, and special grease. They are so quite I can hear the front now and they arent even bad. Unforgettably I have no pictures of my new *****.

The car just got a major upgrade! Also tons of details on those new rear bearings are needed, for science' sake.

PM Frank L above for more detail. Most companies will repack your entire hub with redline grease and call it blueprinted. I bought just the bearings from 2 6 Motorsports. From what I know they use high quality G5 bearings, new races that have been checked and measured true, and a type of Mobil grease that several Grand Am Rolex teams use thats on par or slightly better than Amsoil. They might do other stuff thats proprietary but idk. This is a real blueprinted bearing. When you look into a clean stock bearing your face is all distorted like a weird mirror thats how out of round they are, when you look into a G5 it looks like the mirror in your bathroom. I didn't realize how much NVH comes from the stock bearings. They were expensive but I hate doing **** twice, especially bearings.

And the plot thickens, back in 2011 my buddy bought a 2001 NB, a deal was struck to wrench on the car in exchange for co-driving it for the 2012 season. I did a ton of work on it.

I won a ton of trophies

We got heavy into dirt bikes that summer and it's been sitting for 2 years, a deal was struck and I bought it and sold the black car to Spoolin2bars. Picked it up Saturday while I was in Jewett, TX for a Frac job.

Swapping wheels, tires, and suspension on the cars and the black car will head back to Texas.

5 Miata's, 8 months, 20,000 miles

Now to find that custom intake I built for it and never installed.
