Yup, I helped a buddy of mine do the same recently. Illuminas+FM springs+FCM bump stops. He's really happy with it.

Actually, I was pleasantly surprised that this particular MSM doesn't have as obvious of a "bog" as the higher mileage ones. The stock ecu is still silly, and holds power back in the midrange till about 4500, but it's not as blatant as the higher mileage ones I've had. You could actually drive this thing shifting at 4k and not want to rage.

I love the way jonglongdongs look. Also the ambit rs18. But the S1's also look good and are actually quite light, so they are the winner.

One thing is for sure, this thing is getting tires soon. Whether they will be accompanied by different rims too will depend. I'm heading down to San Diego area in a few days and there's a ton of tire warehouses there, perhaps I can pick up a set

I........don't even know what they're doing in that picture. And you never want to shop FM for wheels, their selection sucks.

In other news, I think I'm going to stick with the OEM MSM rims (aka boat anchors) this time around and just get tires. Apparently 215 45 17 fits without rubbing, and there are quite a few decent tires available in that size (same as brz/frs OEM size)

18.4 pounds?!?!?!!?!?

jesus dude. You could probably improve the suspension enough just from getting 11 pound rims.

I've been looking at brakes, too, and there's like 40 extra pounds of unsprung, rotating mass to take away. It's pretty insane.

Gross. Sty away from me at MRLS. I don't want people to think I'm friends with people who use those things.

I think it's well established now that I go through cars fast.
No reason to keep re-stating the obvious.

The suspension is super secret until I put it on and make sure it's not fail aidz. Don't worry, it's not racelands or anything like that.

17. But yes, they are heavy. I've already done the "lose 10lb per corner" thing. It is great. But to run 15" wheels a ride height drop is pretty much mandatory, or the car looks silly.

Don't worry, I'll be too busy:
1) getting rides
2) talking trash about how dirty your car is
3) flirting with the Inconel destroyer and the Italian Stallion
4) talking about how gay your 1.6 is
5) updating people's tunes
6) being flamboyant

Where the hell is there a drag strip out here?

However, if you guys want to know what your cars ACTUALLY weight, I know where there is an industrial truck scale with direct street access within 10mi of MRLS.

Yeah, AFAIK the nearest drag strip to Laguna is Sears Point.

FM's wheel selection is great, they have 15x9 6ULs in a bunch of different colors. What more do you need?

So we should all meet at Sears Point the Wednesday night before.

That way I can get a ride home after my glorious 5800 rpm spark cut LC in 3rd gear pull.

Its to give clearance between the axle and shock.
