Thanks six, I am ok just need to start riding my bike again so i can loose some of it... My kid starts driving in June so i will start ryding to work and get back in shape.

Aha! So it is a combination of good food and winter hibernation weight? That happens. In Florida we are active until it gets too hot in the summer and then we hide inside.

Braian is correct about her cooking, that is her hobby and you know the food is ready when she pulls out the camera to take a photo of her new dish LOL, i am guilty of eating too much of f it and having a cushy desk job for the most part.

The track day whent reasonably well, put on 53 laps at speed, i keptthe boost down in the 12-14 psi because my driving was pretty bad.
It was a cool day in the mid 70's and the car stayed cool runing 180-190 for water and maxing at 210 for the oil temp, the only major issue i had was that i was filling my small catch can in about 5 laps so i will have to re think that settup to solve that, it is also pretty clear that my suspension is to soft for track days with r comp tires, it is great for street use and bumpy autocross events but just OK for the track.

Thanks for letting me drive it. I agree, the car is a blast to drive but it feels unstable with those soft springs. The Dr. prescribed Xidas lol.

Yea, a set will make its way into the car next winter, it was great to drive your car too, you have really put together a great package!

Another track day, no big issues with the car on a 90 deg day water temps were at 210 and oil was at 230 (got to trmove the oil/water heat exchanger and shroud the oil cooler a little better) no oil venting issues with the new valve cover mods.

Do you have details of your valve cover mods in a different thread?

I"m guessing you went from one intake side catch can to something else?

I kept the intake side as it was, added another intake hole and cover on the center chamber, drilled 8 1/4" holes between the center and exhaust side chambers and added another chamber above the exhaust chamber connecting the two with a 1/2" x 2" slot, plugged the original exhaust vent and installed a -10 vent fitting on the side of the new chamber that goes to a baffled catch can.
this was all done just to test thinfs and i will make a little nicer machined parts cover next winter.

It is but i had the fitting capped of on my first track session to see if the catch can was getting any oil and it did not have any, i suppose that i should just leave the line off since it is not getting any oil in the catch can now.

Wow, well that's good. I read somewhere that it wasn't good to recirculate the breather oil, that way fuel and whatever else blowby doesn't contaminate the oil supply.

I just noticed you have a ziptie loose on your front plug wire. :)

I agree that the catch can should not be draining back to the engine "IF" the PCV system is removed, in my case i kept the PCV system working with a catch can, i do get a little oil and a substantial amount of water when driving it to work or around town etc. you dont want that back in the engine.

I'm using these photos as a guide for doing the same with my build. Looks super clean. How much square footage did you use roughly?

I used most of the two 36"x48" pieces i got, i used some under the trunk as well and have a 12"x24" piece left.
It sure keeps my leg from getting hot when resting it on the transmission tunnel on long drives or track sessions
