When doing the bushings i also installed new 11.75 front brakes and the two pice track rotors as well as the 3.63:1 rear end |
What was the ratio of your old diff? I may be interested in it.

The rear end is going back together, now but when taking it apart i noticed that the upper a arm inboard bushings had moved and the arm was hitting the front of the saddles, so i think that the worn upright bushing was worn because it would move fwd under acceleration and backwards during braking. to prevent this from happening in the future i trimmed the bushing "end washers" and made delrin washers to fill the gaps between the a arm and upright - attachments, will see how it works on Memorial day! https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...9f3fc34416.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...8590547382.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...a542ca37ae.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...4509e2eab7.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...9a1c9df273.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...4de046a26b.jpg |

That said, I have a 4.3 torsen now and I have a feeling that the open diff sitting in my garage is better off being sold as 4.3 gears... |
You probably get the most out of your open diff if you weld it, install the 4.3-1 gears and sell it to a drifter, price wise i just got a complete 4.3-1 torsen with energy suspension bushings for $500 but i think than that was on the low side price wise, the 3,9 i have cost me $650.
i now have complete rear ends with 3.6, 3.9 and 4.3 gears, the 4.3 is there in case i ever go na or do a k swap. |

Track day last sunday, the car is running well, love the new shocks !
Leak down was good just have to check hubs and brakes before Gingerman next Monday 😎 https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...ece1a310be.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...0b6ef33124.jpg |
Great time at Gingerman raceway, big thanks to Glade for the invite and letting me drive his sweet handling NA 👍 SOOO much fun!
|
Nice build! look forward to seeing feedback on the Xidas as those are my next purchase
|
Do you still use that same exhaust from 2014? Sounds really good to me.

Regarding the Xidias i am very happy with them, still playing to get the car balanced, i have some brake lockup on trail braking (you can see it on the first lap corner 2) that i tried to solve by going to a softer rear sway but the problem is still there and the car was pushing really bad until i took the wicker off and stiffened the rear shock valves, i will install a proportioning valve to take care of the braking issue and go back to my bigger rear bar. i still have the same exhaust from 2014 on the car, it is pretty quiet (that was ome of the goals when building it) a little heavy but it flows well and is not hitting anything, i use a remote microphone cliped on to the back of the trunk lid on the gopro, that is why you can hear the exhaust so clearly on the videos |
Car looks great and Gingerman looks like a ton of fun. Sounds like you need the Wilwood proportional valve. Does your car have ABS?

No ABS on my car, i will get the wilwood proportioning valve and install it but was hoping to wait until the motor swap... i really want to install it with a cable or in the dash so i can change it while driving |
I would absolutely be down for a Gingerman day with the Indy group.
I like the idea of in-car adjustment for the prop valve. You could probably get it very dialed in within one session that way. |
