Just went and looked at a new house to hopefully move into.

Garage is the ****. Its basically a 4 miata garage

588 sq/ft with 2 doors. Hopefully will have 2 bays for working on ****, corner for welding, corner for storage and some room for a couch/tv area

You will thank me later

Thats an awesome idea.

I'm pretty excited. The whole house has a "nice but used" sort of wear on it. Its not the prettiest thing, but it wont suck if we scratch a wall or something. Reminds me of my cars

Garage is unfinished, which means I pretty much have free reign for shelves and whatnot.

Getting ahead of myself, we need to be approved first.

I'm also going to get a plasma cutter once track season dies down. I hate getting out the grinder.

from machining forums, still need to do it myself
Youre 22?, its your first house.... stop it
This is a good thing! at least in my opinion. Gives you a chance to seal everything up, insulate, or insulate more/better, run new wiring. Take pics of all the frame work and wiring runs if you ever decide to drywall anything up.
Yes you are, I was just speaking generally

Yeahhh. Bit different than Laguna seca

I guess I just need brackets. But my calipers feel gross and I feel like they are ready to be replaced.

G. Did you send me rear 1.8 brackets too?

Add surface mount soldering to the list of things to not do while on aderall. A steady hand is really necessary.

So I found something else
2009+ mini cooper JCW models have 280mm rear rotors. They seem to be available cheaper than miata sport rotors. Making them fit might be as easy as changing the offset of the rear bracket ~10mm. If we are already making centering rings...
Half pound, too. Gram strat!
Miata sport rotor
2009 Mini JCW rotor
Duralast/Brake Rotor - Rear 31378 at AutoZone.com
Miata rear $40
Duralast/Brake Rotor - Rear 73017 at AutoZone.com
Mini rear $24
I might grab a set to check and see if they're too deep or anything.

I never looked at Mini rear rotors. Interesting. 1/2 price rotors could make it worth it.
You asked previously about rear bracket offset. The caliper and rotor remains in the same plane for the 1.6-1.8-sport brakes so no offset is needed. Just fabricate the bracket to so that the one side mounting holes are milled 1/2" of the plate thickness deep. M-tuned used 1" plate and I was going to use the same thickness. Can't really fit more than that. Look at M-tuned bracket pics and it will make sense.
As far as wheel clearance. I ran real tight clearances to my 15" NB wheels (only 1/8") and did not have issues. It does look pretty tight though.

Calipers have been ordered.

Need to see if I have 1.8 rear brackets. If I do then I might try and make this work for the next track day.

Also need people to fill up my group buy. So I can get them going.
