Got my flex fuel sensor working. Looks like oregon gas has 8.1% ethanol in it. Very steady reading when idling (can't drive, stupid laws). Temperature readout is cool too. Fuel matched ambient temp.
I spent 2 days on and off debugging why it wasn't working. Turns out the power supply I was using to test the sensor was clamped onto the insulation of the wire, not the actual wire. So I was feeding 12v into the insulation, and the sensor was getting none.
Found this in my oil today.
No idea what it is. Oh well.
Trans fluid has 2000 miles on it and 4 track days. It was hard to shift into 4th at times. Going to try fresh fluid before the next track day.
I have 2 back to back days in the beginning of august. PIR then ORP. Should be a good time.

Becoming less worried and more excited about this engagement thing. Hailey decided last night she wants to do a track day. So were doing an auto-x at the end of the month and a track day either early august or early september. Might just have her take my spot in one of them.
So now I need to come up with a seat insert for her. Was looking at some 2 part foam on pegasus. Need to take some measurements and figure out how much I need. Should be a lot. Shes about a foot shorter than me.

Sat her in the car last night. Basically need 2 pillows worth of foam. She doesn't need to be any higher up, just moved forward. Might run auto-x with a couple pillows and do a foam insert for the track. I want it to go above her head to have some support. Then I can cut out holes for the harnesses.
Need to buy a second set of HANS anchors. My helmet is too big for her and my spare helmet doesnt have anchors.

Yes. And based on everything else she tries she is going to be better than me very soon. Maybe not faster, because she actually has judgement.
She's either taking my spot at bmw club August 4th or doing the September one

After some measurements it was decided that a foam insert wont be safe for the amount she has to move forward. So I pulled the seat, fiddled with some stuff and remounted the seat about 4 inches forward. All the swap takes is 4 bolts with an impact, and pulling a pin on the back brace. Should be able to happen in less than a minute if we are fast. Nuts are welded to the bottom of the brackets.

Project fit Hailey in the Miata is working well. Redrilled the mounts. And made the back brace sliding, so its a simple pin, and 4 bolts to swap the seat position.
