Default 9000rpm 2l Bp stroker gtx3576 build.

So starting a build thread on my mission to try and get as much area under the curve in a bp engine as possible, without blowing up the gearbox to often.
have been helping two friends build two 400 whp miatas before, so it's not my first time.
we have found out that the 6 speed NB gear box can survive with 450nm at the wheels, if you don't try to kill it.
So when i told my engine builder, he replied with how much rpm can we push it to.
talked with Mike at Flyin miata and he said they could guarantee 8000rpm, but 9000 was theoretically possible on the stroker kit with h-beams.
The math says that 450nm at the wheels will be 568 whp at 9000rpm and that would be a very cool miata to drive.
my goal is to hopefully have 450nm at the wheels from 4500 to 9000 rpm but if i get it from 5000 to 9000 i am still very happy.
So here we go....

Here are some old pics of the car.
The old engine that had a whooping 105 whp in the end, had to dyno it for fun.
That engine has done its jobb for many years and its time to swap it out.

So here is the flow numbers on my 99 head.
it has +1mm oversize supertech valves and a port and reshape jobb from Racelab.

The black lines are stock ports with stock valves.

The purple line is with a litle bit of porting and stock valves.

The green line is with some putty in the ports to check if in the ports would react to a smaler passage, and stock valves.

The blue line is the final ports with oversized valves port jobb, and reshaped ports.

The final flow numbers was:
.300 = 212CFM
.400 = 252CFM
.500 = 266CFM
.600 = 281CFM

After porting, cams got ordered and i ended up with:

Intake Exhaust
Lash ramp : 0.25mm 0.25mm
duration @ 0.1mm : 285° 277°
duration @ 1.0mm : 252° 244°
valve lift : 12.50mm 12.00mm
lobe angle : 106° 106°
timing @ 1.0mm : 20° / 52° 48° / 16°
valve lift @ TDC : 3.70mm 3.15mm

Got my turbo the other day. A Garret gen2 Gtx3576r
with a divided v-band .83 exhaust housing. really did not like the exhaust manifold adapter so i am going to make a new one.

Removed the front end plate/brackets and the sway bar mounts on the car,
Needed more room for the intercooler/radiator/ducting package.
I'am also going to make stiffer sway bar mounts.
Welded a new frame in dom tubing.
It will also work as the main splitter mount and jacking point.

Very nice gains in the head work! Are you planning on using an intake manifold with the runner lengths optimized for the RPM range you will be running?

Thank you, i will let Andreas at Racelab know.
Yes i will make a custom dual chamber intake like the ones i have made on hf-mx5t and inglar's cars. but with different volume and runner lengths.

You will have the good engine and the turbo why hold it back i believe there having sucess with the BMW M3 box swap on the BP engine and that will hold all the power you can throw at it and i believe they shift well at high RPM's.

I know k-miata is coming with the bmw 6 speed 330 gearbox swap kit.
And in the future there is a big possibility i will make the change, it's just a little trip to the dyno and make some boost changes.
I have already played with the idea to let it get all the boost in 5th gear, since it's 4th gear that usually brakes.
But i have to get the power to the ground as well, but time will see.
As for now i need to get the car finished, and if i get tired of the power or changing gear boxes i will make the swap.

I just have the ambition of build a 9000rpm 2.0L NA motor, but this is going to be crazy with boost.
